The University Library has its origin in the primitive University Bookshop, created in the middle of the 16th century. The historical collection of the Library is the result of the acquisition of collections by the University and the very valuable bibliographical contributions received throughout its history.
The University Library is currently defined as a resource centre for teaching, research, study and learning. It is made up of all the bibliographic, documentary and audiovisual collections acquired by the different centres and departments. It offers 20 service points on the Santiago and Lugo campuses.
