The main objective is that students develop the skills acquired in Grade through immersion in one working environment representative of their future professional context and finish with some professional experience.
They may be made in bodies or partner, such as companies, institutions, public and private entities, both nationally and internationally, related to the field of biology in a broad consensus (research and development, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, health, management entities environmental, food, agriculture, etc.). They may also be performed in a USC.
The mandatory nature of the material makes it necessary to establish bases in the number of working hours and type of work, always related to the formation of a biologist
Although the skills acquired will depend on the nature of the entity in which the practices are conducted and played the job profile, it is intended that students develop any of the following:

In each academic year they are offered internship in companies or institucions with previously signed a cooperation agreement. In each offer a program of activities will be implemented, depending on the characteristics, objectives and role of each workplace. Each student will be assigned: i) a tutor / a professional who will guide and supervise the work, and ii) a tutor / academic, that will maintain regular contact and make the final assessment. At the end of practice the student will write a report that will serve to reflect, systematize and account of the activities carried out during the traineeship. The memory must have the approval of the tutor / a professional and shall be delivered personally to tutor / academic.
The Tutor / a professional issue a confidential report (non-binding), which assess the degree of compliance of student practices (attitude and interest towards the tasks, applying knowledge and skills acquired in formal education, skills development, spirit of cooperation, etc.). The tutor / academic conduct the final evaluation based on the memory prepared by the students and an interview; it may take into account the report of the external tutor for the calculation of the final grade up to 60%.
Matter 4.5 ECTS credits equivalent to 112 hours of student work
Prerequisite: have passed the credits of the first two degree courses as a whole and 70% in the third year or 162 credits.
