The catalogue of services includes:
- Psychological treatment and intervention with smokers in individual or group format.
- Psychological intervention with smokers with the support of an app to stop smoking.
- Care for smokers with a high dependence on tobacco or with a very high consumption of cigarettes.
- Dealing with smokers who have to quit smoking due to physical problems or illnesses: cardiovascular (e.g. hypertension, heart attack, etc.); respiratory (e.g. asthma, COPD, etc.) or other illnesses caused by smoking.
- Care for smokers who are concerned about weight gain after quitting smoking.
- Stop smoking programme by post: implementation of the stop smoking programme by post with telephone support.
- Psychological treatment and intervention for people with addictive problems (cannabis, cocaine, pathological gambling, alcoholism, technological addictions).
- Psychological treatment and intervention for people with addictions and associated psychopathology (e.g. depression, anxiety, psychotic disorders).
- Collaboration with the USC Health Surveillance Service in the treatment of smokers and psychological support for USC employees.
- Care for USC students who wish to stop smoking.
- Counselling programmes for professionals regarding different addictions.
- Information and support for parents of substance users.
- Information, advice and support for parents with children that have problems with new technologies.
- Counselling on addiction prevention programmes.
- International drug policy counselling.
Treatments are free of charge for USC staff.
The income obtained is used to ensure the economic sustainability of the Smoking and Addictive Disorders Unit and to improve the effectiveness of the treatments and psychological interventions applied there.
All payments are made through the USC billing service.
