High-resolution analytical field emission scanning electron microscope.
- High vacuum (HV) work mode which, together with the field emission illumination system, in-lens detectors and the unique charge compensation system, allows high resolution levels at low voltage and on unshaded samples.
- Observation of samples in STEM mode, starting from samples prepared on small-sized grids, and also for transmission electron microscopy.
- EDX microanalysis (129ev and WD 8.5 resolution), qualitative and semi-quantitative: chemical element distribution map and concentration profiles of a chemical element between two points.
Detectors
- In lens Secondary Electron Detector.
- SE Everhart- Thornley Secondary Electron Detector.
- ESB (Energy selective backscattered electrons).
- AsB (Angle selective backscattered electrons).
- STEM.
- RX (Oxford Inca x-act) (129ev resolution).
Resolution
- 0.8 nm at 30 kV (STEM mode).
- 1.0 nm at15 kV and WD = 2 mm.
- 1.7 nm to 1 kV and WD = 2 mm.
- 3.5 nm to 0.2 kV and WD = 2 mm.
- 4.0 nm to 0.1 kV and WD = 2 mm.
Accelerating voltage: 0.02v - 30 kv with continuous adjustment in 10 Volt steps.
Magnification range: 12 – 1,000.000x.
6 apertures in sizes: 7.5 µm, 10 µm, 20 µm, 30 µm, 60 µm, 120 µm.
Local charge compensation by nitrogen gas injection.
