The University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) approved its first framework Quality Assurance System (QAS) in December 2009. Subsequently, the Quality and Planning Committee, delegated by the Governing Council, approved a revised version on 31 May 2013, which included a simplification and global revision of the system.
Our Faculty adapted the simplified manual to its specific characteristics, and this adaptation was approved by the USC Quality and Planning Committee on 23 March 2015. The most recent versions of the Quality Assurance System Manual and the Process Manual of the Faculty of Law were approved by the same committee on 6 October 2021.
The Strategic Plan 2024–2026 of the Faculty of Law is structured around six priority strategic lines, to be developed within the proposed timeframe. These lines aim to address current needs and involve all stakeholders in the implementation of the Faculty's Quality Assurance System. They are as follows:
- Diversification of the academic offer
- Review of course content, implementation of new teaching methods, and expansion of training for teaching and research staff and technical, management, administration, and services staff
- Improvement of infrastructure, working environments, and the Faculty's website
- Optimisation of the functioning of the support unit for centres and departments
- Social, institutional, and international projection of the Faculty
- Consolidation of a culture of quality as part of the Faculty’s regular operations
Each of these lines is translated into strategic objectives, which in turn are defined through the corresponding strategic actions.
