Different photography, dance, theater and film workshops make up the map of ‘Espazos Cultura’ for the coming months

Now that autumn is here, it is becoming increasingly difficult to enjoy the pleasant feeling of the rays of sun hitting your face, that boost your energy levels and help you face the day with the biggest of smiles. However, at Campus Terra we have created our own sun and source of happiness: a comprehensive cultural programme for the 2021-2022 academic term.

Under the name of ‘Espazos Cultura’, the USC Cultural Section of the Lugo Campus has organised a long list of cultural training courses and activities for the following months — the hard part is going to be choosing which ones to participate in! This map presents four different universes through which students will be able to travel and learn first hand all about photography, dance, theater and film.

Thus, in the northwest is the Photography Space, divided into two modules taught by Adra Pallón, through which participants will delve into the language of photography. A bit further south, you will find the Dance Space, in which, from October to April, Rosa Acuña will offer three different courses: contemporary dance, creative dance and yoga dance. Likewise, those interested in joining the USC-Lugo Dance Company will be able to do so under the direction of Juan Carlos Zahera.

In this sense, if you want to step onto a stage to act, simply head north to the USC-Lugo Theatre Group. There, Esther Latorre, Sybila Gutiérrez Poveda, Clara Ferrão Diz and Fran Martínez will present the seminar "The inhabited body", while Roberto Salgueiro will teach an acting course.

For her part, Marga Portomeñe will be holding a workshop on “Puppetry and its possibilities” from October to December, and will also be leading the “IV Cycle" theatre workshop until April. From January on, Alberto Cabarcos will open the curtains of the USC-Lugo Theatre Group to those who are attracted by the magic of acting.

Finally, the big screen will be the landing sign in the southeast, where Alicia Taboada will be talking about dubbing, while Pepe Coira will unveil all the secrets of script writing.

If you want to enjoy the magic of any or all of these activities, make sure you sign up at cultura.lugo [at] usc.es (cultura[dot]lugo[at]usc[dot]es), where you can also request more information on the programme.
