Specific competencies of the degree to which this subject contributes:

- To know the functions, characteristics, contributions, and limitations of the different theoretical models of Psychology.
- To know the fundamental laws of the different psychological processes.
- To know the psychosocial principles that intervene in individuals' behavior and the functioning of groups and organizations.
- Knowing how to identify the relevant characteristics of the behavior of individuals, groups, organizations, and contexts through the methods, techniques, and instruments of psychological evaluation.
- Knowing how to select and administer techniques and instruments specific to Psychology.
- Knowing how to prepare psychological reports in different areas of action, aimed at the recipients and other professionals.
- Adjust to the deontological obligations of Psychology.

Specific:

- That students know and understand the influence of interaction and contextual elements on behavior.
- That the students understand the distinctive character of the level of psychosocial analysis to analyze human behavior.
- That students know and understand the functioning of basic psychosocial processes and their impact on behavior.
- Promote the acquisition of values of respect and equality, from the study of stereotypes and discrimination.

Will combine the following methodologies:

Theoretical sessions. They will emphasize the relevant content for each theoretical topic, with the support of existing technologies.

Interactive sessions. These activities will emphasize group work to encourage discussions on psychosocial issues and expand the knowledge that is exposed in the theoretical sessions. Skills in applying concepts relevant to the discipline will be verified, as well as the capacity for analysis and critical reflection.


Both the theoretical and interactive sessions will use different materials (audiovisual and written) to deepen the skills of approaching published psychosocial material and highlight the importance of context in shaping human behavior. Depending on the case, the information will be given on responses and replicas of classic social psychology experiments, followed by comments and relevant current results on these issues, and cases from everyday life where they are manifested.

Theoretical part:
There will be periodic evaluations (test type) and various tests in the classroom to check knowledge for each subject taught. There will also be a final exam on a date approved by the Faculty Board. The note in this part will be 60% of the student's final grade. It is required to pass this part of the evaluation.

Interactive part:
A minimum attendance of 5 scheduled interactive sessions is required. The evaluation, which will account for 40% of the final grade, will be based on the attendance at these sessions and the work developed during them, as well as the performance on a final knowledge test designed to measure understanding and application of the concepts learned. This test will require to identify concrete examples from real life and relate them to the psychosocial processes studied during the course. Different scenarios or situations will be presented where students must identify the involved psychosocial processes.

In case of class attendance waiver: the theoretical part can be prepared according to the materials and tasks that will be included in the virtual campus and the manual included in the basic bibliography, having to take the final exam on a date approved by the faculty board. Students must elaborate a practical report related to the theoretical content for the interactive part. The report instructions will be available at the Virtual Campus.

The student must dedicate a total of 150 hours, of which 51 will be face-to-face, and 99 will be more personalized work.
