Provide the student with the necessary tools to:
1. understand scientific texts, written or oral, in English, on the subjects to be studied;
2. describe and comment, orally and in writing, in English, on scientific concepts;
3. recognize and use, correctly and appropriately, the English vocabulary related to the subjects to be studied.
The course is organized mainly around two tasks: applying reading techniques to understand texts and scientific conferences, and planning and structuring texts in English (mainly essays) that develop the ability of written expression.

The active participation of the student will be encouraged. The linguistic skills of oral expression, oral comprehension and written expression will be worked on. This will require attendance at conferences in English, reading articles and preparing essays and presentations in English.
Continuous evaluation through writing and exhibitions, which can be carried out electronically if necessary.
Student's personal work:
Attendance at conferences (10 hours)
Preparation of scientific reports (10 hours)
Preparation of oral presentations (10 hours)
Total hours of personal work of the student (30 hours)
It is a subject where it is very important to keep in touch with the English language. Therefore it is recommended to listen and read in English.
