To understand the physiological functions of the different organs, apparatus and systems of the human body as a basis for general care.
To understand the mechanisms of integration and how the organism behaves as a functional unit.

Specific
CE1. Know and identify the structure and function of the human body. Understanding the molecular and physiological bases of cells and tissues.
SC7. Know the physiopathological processes and their manifestations and the risk factors that determine the states of health and disease in the different stages of the life cycle.
SC9. Recognise life-threatening situations and know how to carry out basic and advanced life support manoeuvres.
A1. Expository teaching: the teaching staff will present and explain to the students the main contents of the subject, encouraging participation, debate and critical opinion of the students in the classroom.
A2. Interactive teaching: seminars consisting of written work and subsequent oral presentation by all students. In addition, there will be a debate on the contents covered in the subject. The analysis and resolution of practical cases/suppositions will be developed, as well as simulations or performative activities that integrate the learning of the contents of the subject.
A6. Tutorials: students will be able to request individual tutorials, according to the schedule planned for this task in this teaching programme.
A7. Assessment tests.
Expository teaching: Knowledge assessment tests (60% of the final grade).
Interactive teaching: Assessment of assignments (40% of the final grade).
In order to pass the course, it will be necessary to pass, independently, the evaluations corresponding to the expository and interactive teaching.
The course has a teaching load of 4.5 ECTS. Each ECTS is equivalent to 25 hours, of which 16.5 hours correspond to the student's independent work, 7.5 hours to face-to-face teaching and 1 hour to tutoring.
Lectures: 24 hours
Interactive classes: 12 hours
Tutorials: 2.25 hours
Assessment: 2 hours
Personal work of the student: 74.25 hours
Total: 112,5 hours
Daily monitoring of the activities, readings and summaries of the contents developed with the aim of specifying the contents studied in the programme.
Establishing links between the theoretical contents of the lecture rooms and the observations and interventions carried out in the interactive classrooms.
Monitoring the information and materials provided to students, with the aim of facilitating and learning about the different teaching scenarios and the mechanisms necessary for their correct development.
Using the Virtual Campus of the subject for the development of the activities programmed by the teaching staff.
Using the tutorials.
