- Conduct a rapid assessment and classification of patients according to their severity.
- Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Act effectively in pediatric emergencies, with coordination and teamwork.

-High fidelity or advanced simulation of the theory presented by the teacher using integrated teaching methodology with software and robotic patient simulators that allow for the reproduction of practical assistance, based on problem/case resolution and subsequent debriefing in which all key points that occurred during the session are reviewed, analyzed, and debated with the goal of serving as learning.
-Objective questions exam (test): Final assessment that evaluates the acquisition of knowledge obtained in theoretical sessions and laboratories (simulation) 60%
-Problem-solving/cases; In-person test of practical skills acquired during the seminars (ECOE): Evaluates leadership ability, speed of response, adherence to standardized action protocols in complex situations 40%
-In-person activities (lectures, seminars) 10 hours.
-Synchronous non-in-person activities 6 hours.
-Asynchronous non-in-person activities 8 hours.
- Attendance and active participation in all face-to-face activities is fundamental for monitoring and succeeding in the subject.
- Studying and preparing the topics systematically and continuously contributes to the smooth development of the subject, as well as to resolving doubts throughout its instruction and not only in the final phase corresponding to the evaluation.
- The preparation for this subject should be approached as a complement to the other subjects, integrated into the curriculum.

Exemption from Class Attendance:
Students, according to article 33 g) of the University Statutes, "have the right to attention and design of academic activities that facilitate the reconciliation of studies with personal, family, and work life." Similarly, article 130.2 also establishes that "they have the duty of attendance and participation in those training activities that are established as mandatory in the teaching schedule."
Students with Specific Needs
In addressing the needs of students requiring specific educational support, the provisions of the Protocol for Attention to Persons with Disabilities (Integration Area of the Participation and University Integration Service of USC) will be followed. The necessary methodological and/or curricular adaptations will be made to meet the educational needs of these students.

Academic Communication/Submission of Work
Students must necessarily use the USC email (@rai.usc.es) in their email communication with the teaching staff.

Use of Electronic Devices
According to article 9.2.a of the USC Student Statute and article 36 of the Organic Law of the University System, in expository and interactive classes, the use of electronic devices (mobile phones, tablets, computers, etc.) is not authorized unless expressly authorized by the teachers. Students are responsible for the legal and academic consequences that may arise from improper use of them.
