To know how to define the objectives, develop the plan and intervention techniques according to the needs and demands of the recipients and evaluate their results.
To adjust to the deontological obligations of Psychology.
SPECIFIC COMPETENCES OF THIS MATTER:
Competencies and learning outcomes that the student acquires:
• To complement the core training of the degree for the definition, articulation and resolution of psychological problems and intervention in specific areas.
• To develop the transversal competences common to the whole of the degree.
• To know the neurochemical basis of the actions of drugs and drugs of abuse on behavior.
• To identify the main groups of psychotropic drugs, know their mechanisms of action, their main pharmacological actions and their therapeutic uses.
• To acquire basic knowledge about psychoactive drugs and drugs of abuse to inform the recipient about its effects, design and apply the relevant intervention plan in each case and context, as well as forecasting its implications in the corresponding field (clinical, educational, work, social).
• To manage the sources of information and documentation on psychotropic drugs and drugs of abuse to make it possible to update the knowledge acquired.
Relationship activities / competences:
Expositive type classes are programmed to present and explain the contents of the program, which are complemented with more active sessions by the students as a debate on the implications of the use and abuse of drugs; practices to work with specific materials, management of information sources. Self-evaluation activities are organized throughout the semester to provide feedback on the progress in learning and supports the development of these activities through tutorials. The necessary study time for the subject is estimated at 60 hours.
Assessment system for the acquisition of competences:
Around 25-30% of the evaluation will be derived from monitoring the work of the students through the practices and evaluation activities, which will serve to assess the degree of assimilation and understanding of the content of the subject; the remaining 70-75% will be derived from the performance in an exam type test, which will value above all the domain of knowledge contents.
The completion of the face-to-face practices program is an essential requirement to be able to take the exam. A special procedure will be established for the evaluation of the internship program in the case of Erasmus students (or comparable situations) who had studied the subject in another university.
Training activities in hours, teaching-learning methodologies and their relationship with the competences that the student must acquire:
