To help students develop their problem-solving skills in new contexts, thus increasing their adaptability to the labour market and to other situations.
To provide students with the necessary training to do research in Spain and in other European countries.
To create knowledge networks in this specific topic area, to foster the mobility of students, teachers and researchers and to facilitate the exchange of knowledge.
Different skills according to level of proficiency.
Students will be able to take a course suitable to their level of proficiency at the University of Santiago’s language centre (Centro de Linguas Modernas, CLM).

For students who are officially exempt from attending the assessment system will be established by the Modern Language Centre.
Academic misconduct (cheating, plagiarism in exercises or tests) will be penalized according to the University regulations on student assessment (“Normativa de avaliación do rendemento académico dos estudantes e de revisión de cualificacións”)
The course comprises 40 hours of lessons and requires additional self-study time.
Those students who take a course on their own mother tongue will not receive any kind of certificate.
This is an elective course within the general skills module, which consists of the following subjects: P5261201 English, P5261202 German, P5261203 Other languages and P5261204 Computer skills. Students are required to take 5ECTS from this module; recognition will be limited to a maximum of 10 ECTS.
