Selection system
Medical degree students who are studying their degree at a University in Georgia.
1) Identify the situation of cardiorespiratory arrest
2) Perform an initial approach to the patient using basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation
3) Perform an appropriate advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation, organized and coordinated with colleagues, according to the algorithm described in the clinical practice guidelines
4) Correctly diagnose and treat acute coronary syndrome
5) Correctly diagnose and treat acute complications of acute coronary syndrome
6) Correctly diagnose and treat arrhythmias, knowing the indications for pharmacological and electrical treatment of the same.
7) Correctly use the monitor-defibrillator, in all its uses: defibrillator, electrical cardioversion and pacemaker.
8) Correctly approach and manage the polytraumatized patient, according to the XABC protocol of the ATLS guide.
Evaluation
Tutoring
Study by the student of the clinical practice guides (8 hours, not included in the total number of hours) o Cardiopulmonary resuscitation o Acute coronary syndrome o Management of bradyarrhythmias and tachyarrhythmias. o ATLS, for the management of the polytraumatized patient Theoretical review of clinical practice guidelines will be carried out (10h): 1.
