Vice-chancellor’s office for Students and International Projection

This is in charge of coordinating the procedures related to scholarships and study grants, both from the call of the Ministry of Education as well as those of the calls from the USC and the University Residence Service, as well as actions related to the promotion of student associations. It is also responsible for the planning and coordination of the USC's internationalisation policies in teaching, research and outreach strategies.

Brief curriculum vitae

Degree (1986) and PhD (1990) in Medicine by the USC. He has post PhD training at the University of Milan and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.

He has published more than 60 articles in scientific journals collected in the SCI and more than 20 books or book chapters, and has participated in numerous congresses. Evaluator and member of the editorial board of numerous scientific journals, he has also overseen ten PhD theses and numerous end-of-degree and end-of-master projects.

He has a Diploma in University Teaching from the USC (2007). He has been director or coordinator of 17 teaching innovation courses and speaker in 15 teaching innovation courses or conferences.

He was Vice-Dean of Exchanges, Teaching Innovation and Quality of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry (2011-2015) and Director of the Department of Physiology (2015). He was also Academic Director of Mobility at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry (2011-2015).

He was coordinator of the Innovation Group in Medical Education (2005-2011) and director of the Chair of Medical Education at the USC (2012-2014 and 2016-present). He is a member of the drafting committee for the Degree in Medicine and Biotechnology, the Master's Degree in Biomedicine, the Official Postgraduate Programme in Biomedicine and the PhD Programme in Neuroscience, Molecular Medicine and Endocrinology.
