The h-index is a procedure proposed by J. Hirsch, from the University of California, in 2005 for measuring the professional quality of scientists, based on the number of citations their scientific articles have received.
The research carried out by the different groups belonging to the Department of Chemical Engineering, allowed reaching an H index value of 111.
