In this matter the pupil will acquire or will practice a series of competences generic, desirable in any university qualification, and specific, characteristic of the engineering in general or of the agricultural and food and agricultural engineering particularly. In the frame of competences that was designed for the qualification, the following ones will be worked:
Basic and general competences:
CG1 - Knowledge in basic, scientific and technological matters that allows a continuous learning, as well as a capacity of adaptation to new locations or changing areas.
Transversal competences:
CT1 - Capacity of analysis and synthesis.
CT2 - Capacity for the reasoning and the argumentation.
CT3 - Capacity of individual work, with self-criticism attitude.
CT4 - Capacity to work in group and to reach problematic locations in a collective way.
CT6 - Capacity so that it elaborates and it presents an organized and understandable text.
CT10 - Use of bibliographic information and of Internet.
CT11 - Use of information in foreign language.
CT12 - Capacity to solve problems through the application integrated of his knowledge.
Specific competences:
MC4 - Capacity to know, to understand and to use the principles of land mechanization: Engines and agricultural machines. Characteristics and design of machinery for land facilities.
Eyewitness teaching:
1. Expository classes: eyewitness classes of theory in which the professor will present, with help of audio-visual means the contents of the program. The goal of these classes is to provide the pupil with the basic knowledge that it allow tackling the study of the matter in an autonomous way, with the help of the recommended bibliography and of the exercises and works that carries out during the course. The student will have the educational material in the Virtual Classroom of the matter. Competences: CT1, CT2, MC4.
2. Interactive classes: eyewitness classes in which the professor will carry out exercises of every subject. It is intended them to interwork professor and students in the resolution of the exercises and suggested problems. This work will be complemented with the personal work through the resolution of exercises in an autonomous way. Competences: CT1, CT2, CT3, CT4, MC4.
3. Tutorials in reduced groups: sessions programmed in the schedule of the matter in which the attendant student body will be attended to so that they discuss, comment, clarify or solve any doubt or question related to the development of the matter. Competences: CT1, CT2, MC4.
4. Tests of evaluation: The pupil will carry out written examinations constituted on questions and exercises of the set of subjects of the matter. In these tests, the theoretical knowledge will be evaluated so much as the resolution of problems. Competences: CT1, CT2, CT3, CT12, MC4.
Non eyewitness work
The pupil, preferably in group, the length of the semester of a subject complementary of the matter, suggested by the professor, will have to carry out a work of study,
He will also have to present a work elaborated of his assistance to the practices at which it collects the acquired complementary knowledge.
The student also will have to resolve and deliver by writing the exercises and problems that propose during the course.
Competences: CT1, CT2, CT3, CT4, CT6, CT10, CT11, CT12, MC4.
Test or written tests: the competences CT1, CT2, CT6, CT12 and MC4, with a relative weight of 60% in the qualification, are evaluated. It is necessary to have a minimum qualification of 4 (on 10) .
Delivered and/or exposed works: They evaluate the competences CT1, CT2, CT3, CT4, CT6, CT10, CT11 and MC4. They will say 40% of the qualification. In the group of these works and exercises will have to have a qualification of 4 (on 10) at least.
In the extraordinary opportunity of recovery, the written tests and/or works that did not surpass the qualification of pass in the ordinary opportunity will have to be carried out. In any case, the relative weight of every indicated report would keep as in the previous paragraph.
In cases of attendance exemption, everything will be identical in terms of the relative weight of each part (exams and works)
In cases of fraudulent performance of exercises or tests, the provisions of the “Regulations for the evaluation of student academic performance and review of grades” will apply.
Eyewitness work in the classroom (41 hr.):
Theoretical classes (expository, of big group) 18 hr.
Practices (with reduced groups): 18 h.
Tutorials in group (with very reduced groups): 2 h.
Activities of evaluation: 3 h.
Personal work of the student body (71.5 hr.):
Reading and preparation of subjects: 20 h.
Accomplishment of exercises: 15 h.
Previous preparation of the practices and subsequent work on these: 18 h.
Elaboration of the works of course (in group or individual): 8.5 h.
Preparation of evaluation tests: 10 h.
Total: 112.5 hours (4,5 credits ECTS)
Assistance to the theoretical classes, seminars and practices, with active participation in all.
Resolution of the exercises that they are suggested, with precedence to be treated in the classroom.
Study of the matter that is treated in the classes daily, handling the recommended bibliography.
Making use of the tutorials to clarify possible doubts on the matter.
