Strategy 1: Governance
Leadership, coordination, and responsiveness will be essential for enhancing the management of research and innovation activities. An effective model of democratic and gender-sensitive governance will be promoted.
The Institute’s operations and outcomes will be independently and externally evaluated on an annual basis. This evaluation will help identify strengths and weaknesses and guide the implementation of an improvement plan.
Strategic Objectives:
- SO1. Launch iLTIUS by equipping it with the necessary structures for internal governance and organization.
- SO2. Promote gender perspectives within the Institute’s actions and research lines.
Strategy 2: A Targeted and Specialized Scientific Agenda
Establishing a clearly defined and collaborative research agenda will be a top priority. It will encourage multidisciplinarity through cooperation among research groups, organizations, and institutions, while strengthening international and social stakeholder relations. These efforts aim to foster scientific excellence and the transfer of knowledge.
Strategic Objective:
- SO3. Develop multidisciplinary and competitive research in various areas of linguistics and literature.
Strategy 3: Research and Internationalization
National and international collaborations with leading centres, projects, networks, and research groups will be encouraged. This includes joint doctoral supervision and greater participation in international forums and events, boosting mobility among iLTIUS personnel (both junior and senior), and significantly increasing participation in ERC and Horizon Europe projects. The goal is to consolidate Iltis’s status as a centre of reference for linguistic and literary research.
Strategic Objective:
- SO4. Participate in regional, national, and international calls to attract new resources, based on research needs identified in the Annual Operational Plan.
Strategy 4: Talent
Attracting and retaining talent will strengthen iLTIUS’s capabilities and enhance its competitiveness for securing competitive research funding.
Strategic Objective:
- SO5. Consolidate the existing iLTIUS team, integrate specialists, and recruit new talent by supporting continuous training.
Strategy 5: Economic and Social Impact
iLTIUS will contribute to addressing challenges identified in the Galician, Spanish, and international research and innovation agendas, as well as those raised by social actors in the Institute’s areas of expertise.
Strategic Objective:
- SO6. Address social challenges by making the results of iLTIUS research accessible to broader society.
The strategic objectives set for the period 2025–2028 involve the implementation of specific actions throughout this period.
