The Inclusive Mentoring Project is part of the USC Professional Development Mentoring programme and was designed to bring together Master's Degree and final year degree students who have confirmed their disability status with professional managers who can guide and support them in their search for employment and in the development of their professional career.
The call began this academic year with the participation of four students from the degrees in Spanish Language and Literature, Philosophy and Journalism and the Master's Degree in Teaching.
The aim is to help reduce the uncertainty of students who have finished or are about to finish their university studies and lack previous models to adequately direct their profile to the labour market. The new programme also completes a circle that begins in the classroom with the educational process and is now complemented by contact with the world of work. Any skilled manager, professional or entrepreneur who is willing to dedicate part of their time to listen to the concerns of the students, share knowledge and experiences and give advice to the mentee can be a mentor.
