The University of Santiago de Compostela participates in Action 171 (KA171) within the framework of Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM), with partner institutions outside the European Union.
Through this programme, USC can host undergraduate and master's degree students from partner universities to carry out an exchange for one semester (5 months) and obtain recognition for the courses taken. PhD students also have the opportunity to undertake research stays through this programme.

Partner universities must carry out the selection of students in accordance with the principles of the Erasmus+ Program:
- Respect the principles of non-discrimination and promote and ensure equal opportunities for participants from all backgrounds, particularly those from disadvantaged or vulnerable groups.
- Be fair, transparent and documented, ensuring equal opportunities for eligible participants for mobility.

Erasmus+ KA171 Scholarships
The payment will be done once the student arrives to USC at the begining of each month.
- Travel costs, from home university to host university and return, based on the EACEA Distance Calculator. This ammount is independent of the real price of the tickets purchased by the s student.
