The Sports Area is in charge of the maintenance, conservation and improvement of the sports facilities and ensures compliance with the regulations.
In the sports facilities of the USC take place the activities organized by the USC and other autorizied by it.
The sports facilities are a crucial means to achieve the objectives established in the sports model of the USC, so this university and the activities related to it have priority of use. The order is as follows:
- Sports Area (guided activities, free practice and USC Sports Section).
- University groups.
- External entities and activities that fulfill the following requirements:
- Activities related to the physical and sports fields and according to the sports model of the USC.
- Universitiy groups.
- External entities and activities that fulfill the following requirements.
The following information shall be prominently displayed on each installation:
- Technical data and characteristics of the installation
- Rules for use
- Opening hours
- Rates
Access to the sports facilities implies acceptance of the rules of use and the duty to respect the indications of the staff responsible for them.
The USC sports facilities may be used by:
- Participants in activities organised by the Sports Area.
- Free practice users who have the corresponding ticket or reservation.
- Associations, entities or clubs that have been authorised to use the facilities.
- Any person or group authorised by the Sports Area.
The Sports Area reserves the right to modify the authorised uses, with prior notice to the entities or persons affected, when the needs of the USC so require.
On the other hand, activities may be suspended in the following cases:
- The rules of use are not respected.
- Damage is caused to the facilities.
- The physical integrity of the participants is in danger.
- There are commitments acquired.
- Any other cause that justifies it.
All users must collaborate in the care of the facilities, equipment and materials used, always leaving the spaces used clean and in good condition, and the materials collected and placed in the indicated place.
In order to access the facilities with their own materials or equipment, it is necessary to leave them in a clean and tidy place.
In general, to access the sports facilities you must be registered as a USC sports user, except for users corresponding to a transfer of use to another entity, those accessing with a day ticket and participants in a specific event or activity authorised by the Sports Area.
Directed activities
Participants in activities organised by the Sports Area will have access to the facilities on presentation of their TUI and only during the times corresponding to the activities for which they are registered:
- For sports schools and courses, access will be with a maximum of 10 minutes in advance and they will leave the facility within 20 minutes of the end of the activity.
- For university competitions, the interval for accessing and leaving the facility will be as established in the corresponding regulations.
USC Sports Section
USC Sports Section members will have access to the facilities assigned to them for training, on presentation of the TUI, at the times and under the conditions established in the corresponding regulations for federated sport.
Free practice
- The USC Sports Area offers the possibility of using the facilities for self-directed sports practice for health, sports performance or leisure purposes. To do so, you must be registered as a sports user and have a ticket or reservation for the activity you wish to practice.
- In the facilities reserved for free practice, training activities or any other type other than free practice in the strict sense may not be provided without express authorization from the Sports Area.
Violation of this rule will result in expulsion from the facility and re-registration as a sports user.- Annually, the Sports Area will publish the offer of free practice for the course, which will include:
- Types of season tickets and vouchers.
- Fees.
- Timetables for use of the facilities.
- Space reservation rules.
University groups
University groups can request the use of the facilities for the celebration of activities or events. These requests must be made using the form on this page, in accordance with the established protocol, and at least 15 days before the start of the event.
On the cession of use
Any entity, association or club may request the use of USC sports facilities. Applications must be made using the form on this page.
These applications must be submitted to the Sports Area at least one month before the date of use and must be addressed to the director of the service.
These concessions will be governed by the rules and rates for the concession of use of the different facilities and spaces.
The concession of use will be subject to the applicant being up to date with payments for the use of the facilities, the acceptance of these regulations and the conditions established in the concession.
Technicians
- Access to the facilities in the capacity of technicians will be granted to those persons who direct sports activities organised by the Sports Service or others authorised to do so.
- To perform the functions of a sports technician for any other purpose in USC sports facilities, authorisation must be requested from the Sports Service.
- In general, the technicians will have access to the facilities during the times of the activity and those required for their preparation.
- The technicians of the use of the facilities must wear a visible identification of the entity that organises the activity.
- The coaches must collaborate in a special way in the care of the facilities, equipment and materials used, always leaving the spaces used clean and in good condition, and the materials collected and placed in the place indicated for the disposal of others and instilling these good habits in the athletes they direct.
Legal persons, institutions or entities interested in renting a USC sports facility must have civil liability and accident insurance and apply for the assignment of spaces using the form above.
It is advisable that they inform themselves beforehand in this Area of the availability of dates and times, as well as the conditions and rules of use.
Procedure
- Send by e-mail to deporsec [at] usc.es (deporsec[at]usc[dot]es) the duly completed and signed application form duly completed and signed at least 15 days in advance:
- 15 days in advance for those of the university community.
- 30 days in advance for other external facilities.
- The Sports Area Management will resolve the applications received as soon as possible.
