BASIC AND GENERAL
CB1 – Students have been shown to possess and understand knowledge in an area of study that is based on general secondary education at a level that, although it is supported by advanced textbooks, includes some issues of the forefront of knowledge of that field of study.
CB2 – Students know how to apply their knowledge to their work or vocation in a professional manner, and possess competencies that can be demonstrated by devising and defending arguments or solving problems in their field of study.
CB3 – Students have the ability to gather and interpret relevant data (usually within their area of study) in order to make judgments that include a reflection on relevant social, scientific or ethical issues.
CB4 – Students are able to transmit information, ideas, problems and solutions to a specialized audience and a non-specialized audience.
CB5 - Students have developed those learning skills required to undertake further studies with a high degree of autonomy.
CG1 - Possess and understand the knowledge that defines the Business Administration as a scientific discipline, including its theories, history, methods, techniques and application areas, to a level that is supported in the most advanced publications and includes some of the most relevant aspects at the forefront of knowledge in this field.
CG3 - Identify, gather and interpret relevant data on issues related to the business field, incorporating relevant considerations of its social, scientific or ethical dimension in making judgments and proposals.

The sessions dedicated to the lectures will be used to introduce the basic contents of the topics that make up the program, emphasizing the especially relevant aspects and the relationships between them.
The interactive sessions will be based on the practical application of the theoretical contents exposed in the lecture sessions. These sessions will be aimed at analyzing cases, commenting on readings, debating questions posed by the teaching staff and carrying out and presenting work (individually or collaboratively).
The lectures and interactive sessions will take place in the official schedule published by the center. The teachers of each group will monitor the attendance of the students and their participation in the sessions.
Participation in the lectures and interactive sessions will be complemented with the students' personal work, which may include, among others, activities to search for information and bibliographic material, reading said material and preparing and defending individual or collaborative works.
This autonomous work will be guided by the teaching staff in the hours allocated to tutorials, which will serve to solve doubts and problems that students face in the teaching-learning process. The tutorials will also serve as a feedback channel on the results obtained.
The tutorials will preferably be carried out face-to-face, although in certain cases they can also be carried out virtually and synchronously (through the MS Teams institutional platform) and asynchronously (through the virtual campus). In any case, they will take place at the regular schedule officially published by the teaching staff.
The development of the subject will be carried out with the support of the virtual teaching classroom created for this purpose on the Moodle platform.
The evaluation system will consider all the activities carried out by the students: carrying out and actively participating in the analysis of cases, debate and commentary on readings, articles or press releases, presentation of work, conducting questionnaires on theoretical content and practical, etc.
In cases of fraudulent performance of exercises or tests, the provisions of the Regulations for the evaluation of the academic performance of students and the review of qualifications will apply (Normativa de evaluación del rendimiento académico de los estudiantes y de revisión de cualificaciones).
To pass the subject there are two opportunities. Students who do not pass the subject at the first opportunity will have the right to a second, which will be the one that appears in their academic record in the event that the grade achieved is higher.
The evaluation system for these two opportunities, both for first-enrollment students and for repeating students, is set out below:
Ordinary first chance. Continuous assessment is contemplated, combined with a final test.
A. Continuous evaluation: resolution and active participation in the analysis of cases, debate of readings, completion and presentation of works, questionnaires and other activities related to interactive and expository classes. Weight in the final grade: 30%. The list of the different assessable activities throughout the course, their weighting and monitoring will be indicated in the teaching guide of the subject that will be published in the virtual classroom at the beginning of the course.
In this part the following competences will be evaluated: CB1, CB2, CB3, CB4, CG3, CT3, CT6, CT8, CT10, D11.
B. Final content exam: compulsory test in which the learning results will be assessed, and may include short answer questions, multiple choice questions, short reasoning questions, or cases (real or invented) to which the students It must provide a solution, based on the theoretical contents of the subject and / or on the skills / competencies developed throughout the semester. Weight in the final grade: 70%. This test will be face-to-face.
In this part the following competences will be evaluated: CB1, CB5, CG1, A4, A5.
In order to add B and A it is necessary for students to obtain at least a 2.8 out of 7 in the content exam. The added mark must be equal to or greater than 5 points out of 10 to pass the subject.
Students who do not obtain any score related to the activities carried out in the lectures and interactive sessions may only obtain a maximum of 7 points in this call.
Second extraordinary chance of recovery:
The same evaluation system will be applied as in the first opportunity, that is, a new final content exam will be carried out, with the weighting established for the first opportunity, which will be added to the score achieved in the continuous evaluation.
In accordance with the Permanence Regulations in force at USC for Bachelor and Master studies (art. 5.2) (Normativa de Permanencia vigente en la USC para los estudios de Grado y Máster), the mere attendance and / or participation in any of the activities subject to evaluation will mean that the student's final grade is different from NO PRESENTED.
Students who are granted the attendance exemption following Instruction No. 1/2017 of the General Secretariat on the class attendance exemption in certain circumstances (Instrucción Nº 1/2017 de la Secretaría Xeral sobre la dispensa de asistencia a clase en determinadas circunstancias), will be evaluated with a specific final exam that will account for 100% of the grade.
This is a 6 ETCS course and each credit is equivalent to 25 hours.
Hours will be distributed in the following way:
- Hours of theoretical and interactive class, tutoring and assessment in the modality that is determined: 60 hours
- Students personal work: 90 hours.
No previous knowledge is required to take this course.
In order to maximize learning, it is convenient that the students carry out all the activities proposed by the teaching staff, regularly attend theoretical and practical classes, and use the tutorials.
