The sessions dedicated to lectures, in the form of a “master class”, will aim to introduce students to the contents of the topics that make up the program, emphasizing the particularly relevant aspects and the relationships between them.
The interactive sessions will focus on the practical application of the theoretical contents presented in the expository sessions. These sessions, which will consist of computer classroom practices, problem solving and case studies, will aim to improve students' ability to recognize, define and analyze the problems faced by companies, and to make the most appropriate decisions, while facilitating interaction among students. All these activities will be complemented by the personal work that students will have to dedicate to each of them.
In the tutorials, the teachers will guide the students and will help them to solve the doubts and problems they may face in the learning process.
The course will have an operational virtual classroom, which will be the preferred mode of delivery of activities. Likewise, the classroom forum, the institutional e-mail and the Microsoft Teams platform will be used as communication channels.
Some practical sessions may be carried out in the form of conferences or company visits.
The evaluation of the subject will be carried out in the following way:
- Continuous evaluation: analysis of cases, delivery of exercises, assignments, continuous evaluation tests, etc. Weight in the final grade: 50%.
- Final exam. Weight in the final grade: 50%.
These two parts that make up the students' grade will be applied in the two opportunities, so that the score obtained in the continuous evaluation (50%) will be maintained for the second opportunity.
To be allowed to add the continuous evaluation grade students must obtain a grade greater than or equal to five (out of ten) in the exam. To pass the course the final grade (for exam plus activities) must also be greater than or equal to five (out of ten).
The list of competencies to be evaluated in this subject is detailed below:
- Continuous evaluation: CB2; CB3; CB4; CB5; CG7; CT4; CT5; CT10; SC3; CE5; CE6; CE10; CE13.
- Final exam: CG1; CB1; CT5; CE2; CE3; CE2; CE3
In the evaluation, in addition to the acquisition of knowledge, aspects such as the appropriate use of the techniques and tools of the subject, the clarity and expository capacity, the mastery of the terminology of the subject or the active participation will be considered.
In the case of fraudulent realization of exercises or tests, the provisions of the "Rule of Evaluation of the Performance of the Students and of Review of Qualifications" will apply.
Attendance to both expository and interactive classes is a right, but also a duty of the students, unless the student is granted an attendance waiver according to the “Regulations for class attendance in official bachelor's and master's degrees”. Students who are granted the waiver will be evaluated with a specific final exam that will account for 100% of the final grade.
That said, for students without waiver, class attendance will not have a direct impact on the evaluation grade, but it will be necessary to attend the expository and interactive classes in order to participate in the evaluable activities that may arise in them. There are justified causes for non-attendance within the framework of the aforementioned regulations.
For repeating students, the evaluation system will be the same, with the possibility, at the teacher's discretion, of keeping the positive evaluation of activities from the previous year.
The course is 4.5 credits and each credit is equivalent to 25 hours.
The total work hours are distributed as follows:
Face-to-face (including expository teaching hours, interactive teaching, tutorials and evaluation): 42 hours.
Personal work of the students: 71.5
