BASIC AND GENERAL
CG02 - Use of appropriate terminology
CG03 - Use sources of information and databases necessary to contribute to the analysis and generate specific information
CB6 - Possess and understand knowledge that brings a base or opportunity to be original in the development and / or application of ideas, often in a research context
CB7 - That the students know how to apply the acquired knowledge and their ability to solve problems in environments
new or little known within broader (or multidisciplinary) contexts related to their area of study
CB8 - That students are able to integrate knowledge and face the complexity of making judgments based on information that, being incomplete or limited, includes reflections on the social and ethical responsibilities linked to the
application of their knowledge and judgments
TRANSVERSALS
CT1 - Analysis and synthesis capacity
CT4 - Ability to obtain suitable, updated and diverse information in different languages.
CT6 - Ability to solve problems through the integrated application of knowledge
SPECIFIC
CE8 - Know the relevant geological, geomorphological and edaphological techniques and aspects to understand biodiversity
Lectures: Synchronous master classes in person and by videoconference, encouraging student intervention.
Interactive classes:
Seminars: Student work under the tutelage of the teacher to study in detail important aspects of the subject; resolution of case studies, problems and issues. Conferences. Critical reading of scientific documentation. Use of the virtual platform Moodle and MS Teams.
Tutorials: for the personalized follow-up of the student, face-to-face and telematic, synchronous and asynchronous (e-mail).
Evaluation system
The evaluation of the acquired competences in the matter will be carried out through the following ways:
1. In the exam:
- General and basic competences: CG02, CB6.
- Transversal competences: CT1, CT6.
- Specific competences: CE8.
2. In the continuous evaluation:
- General and basic competences: CG02, CG03, CB6, CB7, CB8.
- Transversal competences: CT1, CT4, CT6.
- Specific competences: CE8.
Evaluation criteria and instruments:
1- Theoretical and practical knowledge of the subject: result of the final exam; percentage of final grade: 50%.
2- Follow-up and use of the subject: results of the proposed activities; percentage of final grade: 50%.
For the evaluation of the second opportunity a new final examination will be carried out; the final grade will be calculated in the same way as described for the first opportunity (50% criterion 1 + 50% criterion 2).
At the request of interested students, the evaluation of criterion 2 will be saved only for the next year when it exceeds 50% of the maximum grade that can be awarded.
For cases of fraudulent performance of exercises or tests, the provisions of the Regulations for the evaluation of students' academic performance and the review of qualifications will apply.
-Presencial time in classes:
Expository classes: 14 hours
Interactive classes (seminars, tutorials and exams): 7 hours
Total hours face-to-face work: 21 hours
-The student's personal work:
Autonomous study: 27 hours
Resolution of practical cases and exercises: 18 hours
Readings: 8 h
Review of evaluable activities: 1 hour
Total hours student's personal work: 54
Total hours of dedication: 75 hours
Attendance to lectures (face-to-face or virtual) on a regular basis; attendance and participation in interactive classes (face-to-face or virtual); use of the resources available on the virtual platform; consulting the bibliography and carrying out the suggested complementary activities; participation in tutorials to solve difficulties.
