The lectures consist of demonstrations of theoretical content of the subject. In order to deepen and reinforce the exposed contents, interactive classes are contemplated that favor the acquisition of the specific competences of the subject, as well as meaningful learning. In addition, these practical classes are intended for the student to acquire the procedural and research skills of the subject. For this, case analyzes and prison treatment programs will be carried out.
The tutorials are a direct and face-to-face relationship, for continuous advice and in-depth study of the theoretical and practical contents of the student's work, as well as to answer questions.
The tutoring schedule will be agreed with each student so that it is compatible with their classes and other academic obligations. It is advisable to send an email to constantino.arce [at] usc.es (constantino[dot]arce[at]usc[dot]es) to set the date and time of the tutorial.
The final grade of the students will be made up of the following way:
a) For the evaluation of the expository contents, an evaluation system will be applied by means of a knowledge test that will have a weight in the final grade of 60% (6 points out of 10).
b) The interactive classes will be evaluated through various indicators (attendance [compulsory], participation, reports to be delivered for each class). The weight in the final grade will be 40% (4 points out of 10).
c) To pass the subject it will be necessary to have passed both the expository and interactive parts.
The dates and times of the examination review will be established and developed in accordance with the internal regulations of the USC.
The same evaluation system will be applied to all calls. Thus, in the case of not passing the subject in the call from May to June (1st opportunity), in the July call (2nd opportunity) only the objective test will be repeated, maintaining the score obtained in the activities developed throughout the course.
Students who, by virtue of an agreement adopted by the Board of the Faculty of Law, obtain the exemption from class attendance for this subject, will have to carry out, in addition to the final test, an empirical research work on a topic related to the contents of the subject. This will be tutored and will replace your physical presence and participation in interactive classes.
For cases of fraudulent performance of exercises or tests, the provisions of the Regulations for the evaluation of the academic performance of students and the review of grades will be applied.
