Brief curriculum vitae
Francisco José Fraga López, Graduate and Doctor in Physical Sciences from the University of Santiago de Compostela. He began his academic career as a teacher at the Santiago and Lugo campuses in 1995 as an associate professor, and in 2002 he joined the body of university professors.
He focuses his research in the field of Calorimetry and thermal analysis of materials. In recent years, he has been working on incorporating nanoparticles into synthetic materials. He has participated in a hundred international publications, of which 70 are in JCR. He is the author of 8 book chapters and editor of 10 books. Since 1992 he has participated in different research projects.
He coordinated the white paper on chemical engineering prepared by the Industrial Technical Engineering schools and actively participated in congresses and educational innovation activities in relation to this field.
In the field of university management, he was vice-dean of the Faculty of Sciences of Lugo in 2002, and dean of the Faculty of Sciences from 2002 to 2010 and from 2019 to the present. He was also coordinator of the Master's Degree in Occupational Risk Prevention and Environmental Health between 2007 and 2011.
In addition, he was vice president of the Specialized Group on Calorimetry and Thermal Analysis of the Royal Societies of Physics and Chemistry from 2007 to 2011 and president of this same group from 2011 to 2015.
