Brief curriculum vitae
He was born in Cambados (Pontevedra) in 1967. Degree in Chemistry (specialising in Industrial Chemistry) in 1990 from the Faculty of Chemistry of the USC. In 1994, he took his PhD at the University of Santiago de Compostela in the area of Chemical Engineering, when he started his academic career, occupying different teaching categories in the campuses of Santiago and Lugo (assistant at the University School, assistant at the University and senior lecturer) to finally enter the Body of University Professors in 2008.
He has participated in 16 European research projects, two integrated actions with Germany and Israel, 14 MINECO R&D projects, nine R&D projects financed by the Xunta de Galicia and 27 research contracts with various companies.
In the field of management, he was secretary of the USC-Specific Degrees in Environmental Engineering (2000-2005), coordinator of the USC's Official Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering (2005-2008), coordinator of the National Thematic Network of Life Cycle Analysis (2002-2012), director of the Department of Chemical Engineering (2008-2017), coordinator of the Degree in Chemical Engineering (2014-2018) and president of the Spanish Conference of Directors and Deans of Chemical Engineering since 2017. He has participated in the International Accreditation of the degree of Chemical Engineering (2010 and 2013) and the Degree and Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering (2018).
