During these decades, the Faculty has evolved into a centre of renowned prestige for the quality of its teaching and research. In 2019, it was recognised with the Institutional Accreditation granted by the Council of Universities, which certifies the successful implementation of a quality assurance system in the degrees taught there.
At present, in addition to the Degree in Psychology (with a mention in Health Psychology), the following courses are taught at the centre: the University Master's Degree in General Health Psychology, the University Master's Degree in Psychology (with the specialities of Experimental Psychology and Psychology of Social and Community Intervention) and the Inter-University Master's Degree in Psycho-gerontology.
With respect to research work, in the Faculty of Psychology there are different groups that are at the forefront of Spanish research in their respective areas of knowledge. In recent years, there has been a notable increase in the number of projects financed, as well as in the number of publications in prestigious international journals by the groups and teaching staff of the Faculty.
As a profession, psychology has experienced a significant boom and has been implemented in different contexts, leading to the consolidation of specific professional profiles, including clinical psychology, educational psychology, psychology of work and organisations, social and community psychology or legal psychology; they are joined by other emerging fields, such as intervention in emergencies and disasters or sports psychology. The degrees taught at the centre aim to provide training that brings students closer to the knowledge of most of these areas of psychology.
