2022 is picking up speed in Lugo, thanks to Campus Terra’s cultural calendar
January is the month of change, new chapters and, of course, resolutions. But writing pages and pages of to-do lists that end up forgotten in a drawer is of no use. Luckily, the cultural programming of Campus Terra for the second semester of the 2021-2022 academic year is going to be your guiding star.
The constellation of “Espazos Cultura”, promoted by the Culture Department of the USC in Lugo, continues to shine with the beginning of the new year. The Photography, Film and Theatre areas of the USC have organised a new set of fascinating cultural activities. Participating is easy — the challenge here will be deciding which ones to choose!
Those participating in the open theatre workshop —which will take place on January 31st at the theatre and dance hall of the Veterinary Medicine Faculty— will be raising the curtain of this series of activities. And, as being on stage is a magical experience, the USC-Lugo Theatre Company will open to new members. They will be guided by actor and director Aaron Navia, who will lead the lessons and rehearsals at the same location.
If one of your goals for this year is to learn how to tell stories with audiovisual tools, the Lugo Campus is hosting two workshops that you are going to like. On the one hand, the course “Creating and telling a story through a TV series”, taught by Pepe Coira, will allow participants to turn an idea into a project suitable for television. On the other hand, you can delve into the world of mobile filmmaking through the different sessions of the workshop on new cinematographic languages, led by Iago Sant.
This cultural programming is topped with a new module on self-expression through photography, led by Adra Pallón at the events room of the Casa do Saber.
If you want to develop new artistic skills and start working on your New Year’s resolutions, sign up for any of the activities by writing to cultura.lugo [at] usc.es (cultura[dot]lugo[at]usc[dot]es), where you can also request more information about their contents.
