TESEO file: once the thesis is authorised, we will ask you to fill in the Teseo file in the Ministry app, following the instructions in the Teseo section.
The Teseo app is managed by the Ministerio de Universidades, and it is a database in which all doctoral thesis defended in Spanish universities since 1976 can be consulted.
Prior to public defense, the doctoral candidate, whether or not they request an embargo for the dissemination of the thesis for one year, must register such document and enter the data required by the app Teseo.
In Teseo, the first step is to register as a user in the section 'Register as a PhD student' where you must fill in your personal details and enter a password. Once registered, you must "Log in as a registered user", "create", "register the thesis". You must fill in the information requested, always go to the last tab so that all data is saved. It is important to indicate, in the Department section, information regarding the support staff for the program so that, if necessary, they can have access to your Teseo file.
To increase security, when you log in via “Entrar como usuario registrado”,in addition to your username and password, you will be asked to enter a captcha. You will then receive an email with a code that you will have to enter to access the Teseo file.
Take notice on the fact that in order to enter the thesis address and committee details, you must enter the ITIN (NIF)/Passport number of each person; this information is available in the USC Xescampus application which support admins use to complete the form.
The EDIUS will be validated, in the month following that of the defense, the Teseo files of the PhD thesis defended and the pdf will be incorporated, considering what is indicated about the dissemination by the PhD student, and the file will be pending publication by the Ministry.
Minerva Repository: you do not have to do anything in the Minerva Repository since, as you will see in the explanation, the Publications and Scientific Exchange Service is in charge of adding the information provided by the School.
In accordance with art. 14.5 of RD 99/2011 of 28 January, of the Ministry of Education (BOE of 10 February) which regulates the official PhD classes, the universities will have to deal, once the thesis has been approved, with its open format electronic file in the institutional repositories. Thus, EDIUS will send the .pdf file of the thesis to the University Press, which will take care of creating its index, as well as the final preparation of the .pdf file, the allocation of URI identifier (handle) and final location in the USC Minerva Institutional Repository.
