Santiago Apostle Foundation of Social Sciences

The Santiago Apostle Foundation of Social Sciences is the legal entity of the University School of Social Work.

The foundation, created in 1999, has been declared of Galician interest and of teaching interest.

The Foundation's objective is to promote and carry out socio-educational activities on a non-profit basis, which consists of, among others:

  • Organising higher education cycles of various degrees and specialities.
  • Organising courses, seminars, conferences and meetings on topics of a socio-educational nature.
  • Promoting the publication of the results of studies and research carried out on these subjects.
  • Collaborating in the educational and scientific activities of its members or third parties
  • Encouraging its own activities and those of its members in accordance with the principles of interdisciplinarity, analysis of social reality, adaptation and integration in change, and collaboration with other entities that undertake socio-educational activities in accordance with the principles inspiring the Foundation's activity.
  • Collaborating in projects related to social order and assistance institutions and organisations.
  • Attending to other actions, not expressly mentioned, which contribute to achieving the aims and foundational purpose.
