Tutoring programme

The aim of the Tutoring Programme is to provide advice and guidance to students, mainly 1st year, by a student/tutor who is in courses above them.

The requirement to participate in the programme is to have passed at least 60 credits.

The first course is theoretical and comprehensive information about the USC is provided in it and the participants are trained in the necessary techniques to be able to guide the new students.

In the second year, the student or student tutor will welcome the newly admitted students, acting as a tutor during the whole academic year, and will collaborate in the dissemination of the USC in Galician secondary schools, in guided visits that secondary students make to the USC and in other activities related to secondary education that will be entrusted by the centre or by the coordinators of the A Ponte Programme.

The following people are eligible for extraordinary tutorial support:

  • Students who have a maximum of 18 credits or three subjects pending completion for their degree (end of degree work and work placements are excluded from the calculation).
  • Students who have exhausted at least two calls for exams, in each of the subjects for which they are applying for support.
