Volunteering programme for the elimination of social and communicative isolation of deafblind and deaf people in a situation of social exclusion
The activities of the FAXPG volunteering service consist of accompanying deafblind and deaf people in a situation of communicative isolation according to their life circumstances (deaf people with associated disabilities, elderly deaf people, deaf people living in centres, deaf people at risk of social exclusion). Volunteers must know how to sign and know alternative communication systems.
Accompaniment takes place in their leisure time in order to carry out activities independently in their immediate environment.
Activities may include:
- Individual accompaniments.
- Accompaniment for participation in group activities organised by the volunteer service itself.
- Accompaniment to participate in activities organised by the deaf community's associative movement.
- Timetable: Monday to Sunday, depending on the preferences of the beneficiaries and the volunteer’s availability.
- Places: according to the needs of each agenda.
