LEARNING OUTCOME
Upon course completion, students will acquire knowledge about climate change and emissions inventories.
Students will know the fundamental data about the climatic change phenomenon, which will enable them to frame and to formulate proposals that contemplate this scope of action.
In particular, they will know the emission inventories and energy emissions of the different countries, their energy mix and they will learn to assess their importance.
They will learn to make proposals for energy plans with renewable energies taking into account the emissions of other energy sources for the different areas of competence.
Finally, students will have learned to manage and elaborate a PIMA project of the Carbon Footprint and projects of the Clean Development Mechanism or of the joint implementation of CERs generators.
Our perception of energy and its relationship with climate change.
Sustainability and transition.
Brief description of the climate change phenomenon: action-reaction.
Decarbonization.
Instruments for energy management in the face of climate change.

BASIC AND GENERAL
CG01 - Acquire and understand the main theoretical, practical and methodological aspects necessary for professional dedication to the field of renewable energies, sustainability and climate change
CG03 - Ability to carry out studies of planning and design of energy solutions in the field of renewable energies and sustainability and climate change, whether they are planning models or for their application to facilities.
CG08 - Understand the social, legal and economic factors involved in the implementation of renewable energies within the framework of sustainability
CG07 - Know the basic legislation at national and regional level related to the field of renewable energies, and be able to access the available bibliographical bases and have the capacity to interpret them
CB7 - That students know how to apply the knowledge acquired and their ability to solve problems in new or unfamiliar environments within broader (or multidisciplinary) contexts related to their area of study
CB8 - That students are able to integrate knowledge and face the complexity of making judgments based on information that, being incomplete or limited, includes reflections on social and ethical responsibilities linked to the application of their knowledge and judgments
CB9 - That students know how to communicate their conclusions and the knowledge and ultimate reasons that sustain them to specialized and non-specialized audiences in a clear and unambiguous way.
TRANSVERSAL
CT07 - Treat, analyze and obtain conclusions about a set of data resulting from a study using documentary sources
CT13 - Ability to analyze market demands, needs and expectations
CT14 - Ability to analyze, organize, manage and apply a technical-scientific project given the limitations of personnel, economic, legal, etc.
SPECIFIC
CE08 - Evaluate the environmental impacts associated with energy projects, prepare plans to reduce GHG emissions and analyze their effects on climate change processes.
CE09 - Design and manage energy projects focused on the mitigation of climate change that generate emission rights.
The matter will develop in hours of masterclasses and diverse activities (seminars, round tables, colloquia, etc.), using all the audiovisual means of which can have and that do amena and formative the matter for the student.
It will deliver him to the student all the necessary basic material for the study of the matter through the virtual web of the matter.
The student will have of the hours of tutorías corresponding to solve doubts, expand knowledges and improve the processes of exhibition of the seminars.
The students will have to develop in group or of individual form along the course a work that will have to expose.
Excepcionalmente Will be able to made a final examination of the matter.
The theoretical part develops with help of different audiovisual means that generate an attractive proposal of the contents and facilitate the understanding of the same. During the development of the temario will be able to use computer programs and internet.
All the tasks of the student (study, works, readings) will be oriented by the academic personnel in tutorías that will be able to be of face-to-face type or made through the means of the USC-virtual.
In all the cases, will use the available tools in the USC-virtual to facilitate to the students of the necessary material for the development of the matter (presentations, aim, texts of support, bibliography, videos, etc.) and to establish a fluent communication professor-student.

The evaluation of the matter will be continuous and will compose of a combination of:
Assistance and attitude in class: 10 %
Realisation of diverse activities (practical, problems, diverse tasks, etc.): 40 %
Development and presentation of the seminar (individually or in group): 50 %
Of not fulfilling any one of the previous requirements the student will be able to present to an examination in first announcement and of not to surpass it will be able to present to another examination in second announcement. The qualification obtained in these examinations will be the one who the student obtain like definite note in the process of evaluation of the learning.
They will obtain the qualification of no presented the students that did not present to the examination neither subjected to the evaluation of any another compulsory activity.

For cases of fraudulent performance of exercises or tests, the provisions of the "Regulations for the evaluation of the academic performance of students and the review of grades" will apply.
Article 16. Fraudulent performance of exercises or tests.
The fraudulent performance of any exercise or test required in the evaluation of a subject will imply the qualification of failure in the corresponding call, regardless of the disciplinary process that may be followed against the offending student. It is considered fraudulent, among others, the realization of plagiarized works or obtained from sources accessible to the public without re-elaboration or reinterpretation and without citations to the authors and the sources.
In general, different tests may be carried out to verify obtaining theoretical / practical knowledge and acquisition of skills and attitudes.
Approximately one hour of personal work for each hour of class.
Lectures 9 h

It is recommended to attend classes and actively intervene in them.
Attend tutorials to answer questions and develop the seminars proposed for your presentation.
Work in a group from the first day on each and every one of the points (theoretical study, problem and problem solving, work to present and defend, etc.).
Continuously attend throughout the course since during the classes the final exam is outlined in the debates and in the questions that are raised in class.
it would be recommended a basic knowledge of English. Also it would be recommended a knowledge to level of user in computing to familiarise with the new technologies to the hour to give quality to the public oral exhibitions, programs of treatment of data to analyse the data obtained in the work of laboratory, and navigation by Internet to have the most direct access and fast to the greater possible information.
