Objetivos Generales
1. Identificar los criterios de salud.
2. Conocer la patología médico-quirúrgica más frecuente en sus aspectos clínicos y terapéuticos.
3. Saber indicar e interpretar los exámenes complementarios básicos necesarios para el diagnóstico de dichas patologías.
4. Hacer una historia clínica adaptada a la edad del paciente.
5. Semiología completa por órganos y sistemas en las diferentes edades de la vida.
6. Saber valorar las constantes biológicas básicas (temperatura, frecuencia cardíaca, auscultación cardíaca, frecuencia respiratoria, auscultación pulmonar, tensión arterial, etc.).
7. Medir parámetros antropométricos y valorarlos dentro de los datos de normalidad.
8. Conocer los fundamentos básicos de la medicina preventiva.
9. Conocer en la práctica los principios de asepsia y antisepsia.
10. Conocer los fundamentos básicos de la medicina de urgencia.
11. Conocer la importancia del trabajo en equipo.
12. Maniobras básicas de reanimación.
13. Introducción a: curas, punción lumbar, prueba de tuberculina, sondaje vesical, canalización de venas, administración de medicamentos, sondaje nasogástrico, etc.
Objetivos específicos
1. Realizar historias clínicas supervisadas por el tutor.
2. Analizar ECG, analíticas, y pruebas de imagen, elaborando un comentario clínico de cada una de ellas que debe ser supervisado por el tutor.
3. Analizar y comentar con el tutor Guías de terapéutica clínica.
4. Si realiza rotación por un Servicio quirúrgico o médico-quirúrgico, asistir y describir alguna intervención quirúrgica, preferentemente de cirugía menor: anestesia, abordaje realizado, tecnología empleada, técnicas de sutura, drenajes, reducción de fracturas, colocación de escayolas, implantación de dispositivos, etc.
5. Realizar 2 guardias de presencia física, planificadas con su tutor.
6. Asistir a 5 sesiones científicas y acreditarlo.
Los correspondientes a las diferentes especialidades médico quirúrgicas. Se prestará especial interés a:
a) Realización de historias clínicas.
b) Conocimiento de las principales pruebas complementarias de diagnóstico tanto generales como específicas.
c) Conocer e interpretar las constantes biológicas elementales.

Adquirir las habilidades que marcan los objetivos generales.
Los alumnos se integrarán en los diferentes servicios hospitalarios participando en la medida de sus conocimientos y competencias en las diferentes actividades de los mismos, tanto asistenciales como formativas.
La evaluación continua de los conocimientos y de las aptitudes del estudiante por el tutor responsable. El tutor calificará al alumno como apto (6:00) o no apto.
El alumno debe entregar un portafolio (uno por cada rotación) el día del examen, siendo esta condición indispensable para poder presentarse al mismo, junto con el criterio de APTO, otorgado por el tutor clínico.
El examen final consistirá en una prueba objetiva tipo test de 4 opciones con una única respuesta verdadera, siendo necesario obtener una puntuación superior al 60% del total de preguntas para superar la prueba. Las preguntas estarán basadas en supuestos prácticos con un marcado carácter transversal, en el que se evaluarán la adquisición de competencias generales y específicas de cada una de las prácticas clínicas. Las preguntas pueden incluir imágenes, analíticas o pruebas diagnósticas.
Para poder superar la materia es necesario superar el examen. La calificación final será el resultado de sumar la calificación del tutor (6:00) y la del examen que supondrá el 40% de la nota final.
El desarrollo de la asignatura se realizará en el horario hospitalario de 8 a 15 horas de lunes a viernes. Así mismo se incluirán las 2 guardias obligatorias (de 15 a 22 horas).
El alumno elaborará un portafolio por cada rotación, cumplimentando todos los apartados del mismo que sean aplicables.
• Adquisición regular de las habilidades durante los períodos de rotación por las diferentes áreas docentes.
• Labor individual de los alumnos y seguimiento mediante las tutorías implantadas por los Departamentos.
• En caso de dificultades, se podrá solicitar un seguimiento más individualizado por el tutor o alguno de los profesores de la disciplina.
