The USC Summer University offers a wide range of courses with varied centres of interest that take place in Compostela, Lugo and several Galician towns in June, July, August and September. The enrolment period for Summer University courses usually begins in May and remains open until ten days before the start of each course.
Anyone enrolled in a summer course who attends 80% of the course hours will receive a diploma stating their full name, ID number, course title, dates and number of hours of study.
For its part, the USC recognises Summer University courses for ECTS credits (all undergraduate degrees) for its students with the following equivalence, and they will receive a credit certificate for this purpose, as long as they attend 80% of the course hours: 2 credits for each course of 25 or more hours and 1 credit for each course of less than 25 hours (maximum 6 credits in total).
General fee:
- 120 € for courses of 25 hours or more.
- 70 € for courses of less than 25 hours
- Reduced fee:
- 70 € for courses of 25 or more hours
- 40 € for courses of less than 25 hours
The reduced rate applies to:
- University, baccalaureate and vocational training students
- Teaching and Research Staff and Administration and Service Staff of the USC
- Pensioners and unemployed people
- Persons associated with the USC Alumni Association.
Insurance:
The following persons must take out compulsory accident and travel assistance insurance:
- Not enrolled in official studies at the USC in the academic year 2023-24
- Enrolled in official studies at the USC in the 2023-24 academic year and over 28 years of age or of foreign nationality who have not taken out this insurance in the studies in which they enrolled.
This insurance is taken out on the Xescampus platform itself at the time of enrolment in the summer course and costs €17.50. In the case of enrolling in more than one course, the same policy is valid for all courses.
Those enrolled in the 4th cycle programme are exempt from paying the compulsory accident and travel assistance insurance, as the payment of this insurance is included in their enrolment fee.
ONCE ENROLMENT HAS BEEN ACCEPTED, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN EXCEPT IN THE CASE OF SUSPENSION OF THE COURSE.
