Within the table of competences that was designed for the Master, the following will be worked on more specifically:
Basic and General skills
CB6 - Possess and understand knowledge that provides a basis or opportunity for originality in the development and/or application of ideas, often in a research context.
CB7 - Know how to apply acquired knowledge and problem-solving skills in new or unfamiliar environments within broader (or multidisciplinary) contexts related to their area of study;
CB8 - Be able to integrate knowledge and face the complexity of formulating judgements based on incomplete or limited information, including reflections on the social and ethical responsibilities linked to the application of their knowledge and judgements;
CB9 - Knowing how to communicate conclusions and the ultimate knowledge and reasons that support them to specialised and non-specialised audiences in a clear and unambiguous way;
CB10 - Acquire the learning skills that will enable them to continue studying in a way that will be largely self-directed or autonomous.
Cross-disciplinary skills
CT2 - Organisation and planning
CT3 - Critical thinking
CT7 - Creativity and innovative capacity
Specific skills
CE7 - Knowing the different components of innovation systems and policies and programmes to support and encourage R&D and innovation at European, Spanish and Galician level.
CE8 - Knowing the different instruments for designing, analysing, evaluating and managing strategic plans and programmes to promote R&D, innovation, sustainability and the circular economy at the different levels of government (European, state, regional and local).
CE9 - Formulate, integrate and synthesise new and complex ideas in collaborative and participatory processes for the development of strategic plans.
CE10 - Conceive, design, implement and manage R&D, circular economy, innovation or sectorial development programmes and actions in the areas of specialisation (regional, local, sectorial, business).
CE14 - Evaluate, plan, budget and manage R&D and innovation projects in both public bodies and companies.
The teaching methodology is based on lectures and practical sessions in which the student should participate actively. In particular, several sessions will be devoted to the preparation of R & D projects for different plans, as well as for the practical evaluation of real projects. All this will allow not only to know the techniques of evaluation, but also to develop the critical capacity necessary for the preparation of a research project.
The Learning Management system (LMS) will be used for the distribution of the didactic material, and any other complementary material to promote the autonomous study of the student, as well as an online communication means between students and professor together with MS Teams.
The assessment consists of four components: a) attendance and participation in class (10%), b) case studies development, c) preparation and presentation of a project outline (30%), and d) evaluation of a real project (30%). A score of 5.0 out of 10 in sections c and d is required to pass the subject.
Due to the nature of the subject, attendance to seminars is compulsory, with the attendance level exceeding 80% in order to be evaluated.
At the second opportunity, students will be assessed on the part of the subject that was not passed at the first opportunity.
In cases of fraudulent performance of exercises or tests, the provisions of the "Regulations for the evaluation of the academic performance of students and the review of grades" will apply.
Training activities with their content in hours for the student:
Theoretical classes 9 h (100% face-to-face)
Practical classes 12 h (100% face-to-face)
Tutorial activities 3 h (100% face-to-face)
Exam 1 h (100% face-to-face)
Personal work of the students 50 h (-)
Total 75 h
Given the practical nature of the subject, attendance and active participation in the classes and seminars is essential, not requiring a specific effort for the study.
Teaching will be conducted in Spanish and/or Galician, although sources of information in English will be handled.
