To increase the capacity for R&D preparation and management.
To know the protocols for assessment and management of R&D projects.
1. Preparation of R&D projects: basic concepts, individual and consortium projects, financial aspects, main information resources.
2. Application for R&D projects: documentations, resources, budgetary aspects, etc.
3. Follow-up and management of R&D projects: budgetary control, consortium agreements, cost control, changes to the project.
4. Project justification: technical and economic justification. Issues to be taken into account.
5. Preparation of research projects for the Horizon Europe programme.
6. Project evaluation. Evaluation mechanisms.

CE7 - Knowing the different components of innovation systems and policies and programmes to support and encourage R&D and innovation at European, Spanish and Galician level.

The teaching methodology is based on lectures and practical sessions in which the student should participate actively. In particular, several sessions will be devoted to the preparation of R & D projects for different plans, as well as for the practical evaluation of real projects. All this will allow not only to know the techniques of evaluation, but also to develop the critical capacity necessary for the preparation of a research project.
The Learning Management system (LMS) will be used for the distribution of the didactic material, and any other complementary material to promote the autonomous study of the student, as well as an online communication means between students and professor together with MS Teams.
The assessment consists of four components: a) attendance and participation in class (10%), b) case studies development, c) preparation and presentation of a project outline (30%), and d) evaluation of a real project (30%). A score of 5.0 out of 10 in sections c and d is required to pass the subject.
Due to the nature of the subject, attendance to seminars is compulsory, with the attendance level exceeding 80% in order to be evaluated.
At the second opportunity, students will be assessed on the part of the subject that was not passed at the first opportunity.
In cases of fraudulent performance of exercises or tests, the provisions of the "Regulations for the evaluation of the academic performance of students and the review of grades" will apply.

Given the practical nature of the subject, attendance and active participation in the classes and seminars is essential, not requiring a specific effort for the study.
Teaching will be conducted in Spanish and/or Galician, although sources of information in English will be handled.
