Work placements

External academic work placements are a training activity carried out by university students and supervised by the USC, which aim to allow them to apply and complement the knowledge acquired in their academic training.

Work placements encourage the acquisition of skills that prepare students for professional activities, facilitate employability and promote entrepreneurship.

The work placements carried out in external entities (companies, institutions) in the Degree in Cultural Sciences and Cultural Diffusion constitute a subject of 6 ECTs, which is optional.

The Faculty of Humanities publishes an annual public call for this, offering external work placements in public institutions or private companies that include professional fields where the convergence between culture and communication, organisation of cultural events and dissemination of heritage is put into practice.

The aim of these work placements is to prepare students for professional work in order to improve their incorporation into the world of work.

In order to carry out external work placements, students must have passed at least 132 basic and compulsory training credits, including all 1st and 2nd year credits.
