The Fundación Artesanía de Galicia (Galican Crafts Foundation), the SEPIU and the S-L Hermés Project have converged in a common project that aims to highlight the educational practices carried out in special education centres such as the CEE (Special Education Centre) Manuel López Navalón.
Educación, Artesanía e Inclusión

In this endeavour there are also several entities working to achieve a real inclusion of people with functional diversity based on the use of the region’s local resources and its craftsmanship. For this reason, and as part of the closing of the aforementioned service-learning project (Hermés Project), the work of the students of the S-L activity will be presented. There will also be an exhibition of products made by the students of the different vocational training programmes (carpentry, ceramics, sewing, agricultural crops and catering services) of the CEE Manuel López Navalón centre, as well as an exhibition of organisations working to sell handcrafted products made by people with functional diversity.

At the same time, the holding of this conference seeks to highlight the professional and social activity of different entities in the field of disability and to promote and disseminate a new employment model for people with functional diversity together with the Fundación de Artesanía de Galicia. Thus, two entities in the sector that make handicrafts with the Artesanía de Galicia seal will exhibit their products at the event.
