Adequate knowledge of the application techniques of phytosanitary products. Adequate knowledge of the regulations governing phytosanitary products, their application and the inspection of equipment.
Contents
The title memory includes the following contents for this subject:
Sustainable application of phytosanitary products: defense of crops and phytosanitary treatments, phytosanitary treatment equipment, safety measures, inspection of application machinery, performance of treatments.
These contents will be developed according to the following agenda (h. face-to-face / h. non-face-to-face work):
A) EXPOSITION CLASSES
Topic 1. Fundamentals of the application of phytosanitary products (1 h. - 4h.).
Topic 2. Formation and transport of the drops (1h. - 4h.).
Topic 3. Hydraulic sprayers (3 h. - 8h. ).
Topic 4. Hydropneumatic sprayers (atomizers) and tires (nebulizers) (2 h. - 6h.).
Topic 5. Sprayers of low and ultra low volume 2 h. - 5h.).
Topic 6. Equipment for applications in solid form (1 h. - 3h.).
Topic 7. Revision and inspection of equipment for phytosanitary treatments (1 h. - 4h.).
Topic 8. Safety in the handling and application of phytosanitary products (1 h. - 5h.).
B) SEMINARS
1. Choice of nozzles (2h. - 2h.)

C) PRACTICES
1. Identification and use of personal protection equipment, preparation of the mixtures (1 h. - 0.5h.).
2. Identification and recognition of the different elements that make up the application equipment (1 h. - 1h.).
3. Regulation, commissioning and operation of hydraulic sprayers (2 h. - 1h.).
4. Regulation, commissioning and handling of hydropneumatic sprayers (1 h. - 1h.).

Specific competences:
CEG2 - Adequate knowledge of physical problems, technologies, machinery and systems of water and energy supply, the limits imposed by budgetary factors and constructive regulations, and the relationships between facilities or buildings and agricultural holdings, agri-food industries and related spaces with gardening and landscaping with its social and environmental environment, as well as the need to relate those and that environment with human needs and the preservation of the environment.
EA2 - Ability to know, understand and use the principles of plant production technologies: Systems of
production and exploitation. Protection of crops against pests and diseases. Technology and systems of cultivation of species herbaceous Agroenergética.
MC4 - Ability to know, understand and use the principles of agricultural mechanization: Motors and agricultural machines. Characteristics and design of machinary to agrary instalations. Automatic agrarian
Semester subject, with 12 hours of lectures. Competences CG1, CT1, CT5, CEG2, EA2, MC4.
The seminars are held in groups of 20 students, with application of methodologies and techniques to specific cases. There are 5 sessions with a total duration of 12 h. using the facilities and equipment in the workshop workshop and the practice farm. In the workshop aspects of recognition and identification of element and equipment will be addressed. On the farm of practices will be made the regulations, set-up and management of the machines. Competences CG1, CG2, CT1, CT2, CT3, CT9, CT12.
Likewise, 1.5 hours of tutoring in small groups are contemplated, in which the students will jointly address problems of the topic addressed. Competences CT2, CT4.
The use of the virtual USC platform will make it possible to speed up the bidirectional flow of information between student and teacher, making the teaching of the subject more agile, and facilitating access to documentation by the student.
Attendance and active participation (15%): Competencies CG1, CG2, CT4, CT5, CEG2, .EA2, MC4.
Oral and / or written tests (60%): CT1, CT2, CT6, CT9, CT12, CEG2, EA2, MC4.

To approve, in all the previous sections must have a grade of at least 3 (out of 10)
In the extraordinary opportunity of recovery, the written tests and / or works that did not pass the qualification of approved in the ordinary opportunity will have to be realized. In any case, the relative weight of each part indicated in the previous paragraph would be maintained.
In the case of repeating students, the assessment system will be identical to the one mentioned above.
In cases of attendance exemption, everything will be the same, except that attendance is not evaluated, becoming 40% the relative weight of the work delivered and / or exposed.
In cases of fraudulent performance of exercises or tests, the provisions of the “Regulations for the evaluation of student academic performance and review of grades” will apply.
