Los estudiantes tienen tutorias obligatorias en todas las materias y tutores para el Trabajo Fin de Master, como se explica en las guías docentes correspondientes.
El desarrollo de las asignaturas se complementa con tutorías individualizadas (presenciales y online) en las que los miembros del equipo docente orientan y supervisan el trabajo de los alumnos.
Las tutorías individualizadas están destinadas al desarrollo de actividades presenciales de orientación, dinamización y seguimiento del trabajo de los/las estudiantes: orientación para la realización de informes,
preparación de exposiciones, búsqueda y selección de material bibliográfico, y guía en la resolución de problemas.

Will guarantee that all the students:

1. Know the fundamentals of neuroscience and subjects of the same object of interest.
2. Know and know how to use the experimental techniques of the neuroscience fields of interest.
3. They possess a degree of specialization, which means the knowledge of specific problems, theories and techniques, in at least one field of neuroscience.
4. Know how to read and obtain relevant information from scientific publications.
5. Know how to apply acquired knowledge and problem-solving skills in new or unfamiliar environments within broader (or multidisciplinary) contexts related to neuroscience.
6. Be able to integrate knowledge and face the complexity of making judgments from information that, incomplete or limited, includes reflections on social and ethical responsibilities linked to the application of their knowledge and judgments.
7. Have competence in the oral and written presentation of scientific results to specialized and non-specialized audiences in a clear and unambiguous manner.
8. Know how to work in multidisciplinary groups.
9. Have the learning skills that allow them to continue studying in a way that will be largely self-directed or autonomous.

Competencias específicas: Neurobiología celular y molecular

1.- Identificar y explicar la organización celular y funcional de las principales estructuras del sistema nervioso central y periférico.
2.- Describir el proceso de desarrollo del sistema nervioso.
3.- Explicar el proceso de cambio adaptativo del sistema nervioso dentro del marco evolutivo.
4.- Explicar el funcionamiento de las neuronas desde el nivel molecular al celular.
5.- Describir la relación entre los canales iónicos y el comportamiento neuronal.
6.- Explicar los mecanismos de interacción de fármacos y toxinas con el sistema nervioso.
7.- Explicar los principios de integración neuroendocrina cómo base para el control del comportamiento.
8.- Diseñar y realizar experimentos con las técnicas electrofisiológicas, anatómicas y de biología molecular más utilizadas en el estudio del sistema nervioso.

Competencias específicas: Neurociencia cognitiva (NC)

1.- Comprender las bases biológicas de la cognición y de las emociones con especial énfasis en procesos de atención, aprendizaje, memoria y control ejecutivo, habida cuenta los cambios que se producen con la edad.
2.- Conocer los principales métodos empleados por la neurociencia cognitiva actual, con especial acento en las técnicas psicofisiológicas, neuropsicológicas y de neuroimagen.
3.- Familiarizarse con las posibles aplicaciones de la neurociencia cognitiva tanto para el estudio de los procesos normales como de algunas patologías.
4.- Integrar las bases conceptuales y metodológicas de la psiquiatría en la investigación básica y clínica de las patologías psiquiátricas y de las conductas adictivas.
5.- Alcanzar competencia específica en el manejo de la técnica de los potenciales evocados en el estudio de los procesos psíquicos.

El Trabajo de Fin de Máster (TFM) consta de 19 créditos y consistirá en la realización de un trabajo original experimental de iniciación a la investigación en el ámbito de la neurociencia, relacionado con cualquiera de las líneas de investigación que se ofertan en el máster. Este trabajo incluye actividades tanto presenciales (asistencia a sesiones de tutorización individual, realización del trabajo de investigación, presentación y defensa pública de los proyectos expuestos) como no presenciales (revisión bibliográfica actualizada y completa en referencia a un tema, diseño de la investigación, tratamiento estadístico de los datos, interpretación y discusión de resultados, elaboración de conclusiones, ensayos para la defensa oral del trabajo). Dependiendo del carácter de cada trabajo, las horas asignadas a cada tipo de actividad pueden variar ligeramente.
El/la estudiante deberá realizar y presentar un trabajo de investigación que debe constar de las siguientes partes: Introducción, objetivos, materiales y métodos, resultados, discusión, conclusiones y bibliografía.
El contenido puede ser cualquier temática del ámbito de la neurociencia ofertada en las líneas de investigación vinculadas a este Máster.
