Matrícula en másteres

There are two modes of admission and enrolment: enrolment in a master's degree course with general selection criteria and enrolment in a master's degree course with specific selection criteria.

Application

If you wish to study one of the official master's degrees where general selection criteria are applied, you must fill in the application form at the Virtual Secretary's Office, between the dates marked on the Master’s degree Calendar and deadlines, stating the details of the academic record of the university degree that gives you access.

If you come from a foreign educational system, attach to your application, in addition, the declaration of equivalence of the average grade of your file, which is obtained through the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.

Allocation of places

At the end of the application period, if the number of applicants does not exceed 10 % of the number of places offered, a place will be allocated to all eligible persons.

In the master's degree courses where it is necessary to carry out the process for allocating places, account will be taken of the quotas for reserving places, the priority according to the qualifications of origin and the assessment of the academic record. The applications will be sorted, within each quota and each group of degrees, with the same order of priority according to the average score of the academic record.  In the master's degree courses where there are admission groups, if, once the places of a certain group have been allocated, there are vacancies; these will be distributed in the rest of the groups.

Formalisation of the enrolment

Once the admission and waiting lists have been published, you must register on the specific dates. If you do not register within this period, you will lose your right to the allocated place.
Likewise, those who are on the waiting list must express their willingness to continue opting for vacant positions by confirming it in each of the calls foreseen in their virtual secretary’s office, through the same electronic form with which they submitted the application. If they fail to do so, they will be deemed to have withdrawn their application, which will no longer be taken into account in the next call.

  • In the master's degree courses with no waiting list because there are fewer applications than places, or with a waiting list, if the waiting list is exhausted, students without prior application may register in order of registration during the vacancy period.
  • In those master's degrees with a waiting list where not all the admitted students are enrolled, the vacant places will be assigned to the students on the waiting list until the total number of places has been completed.
  • If, in a master's degree course with a waiting list that fills all the places offered, there is a cancellation of enrolment, these places will be allocated by individual call among the people on the waiting list.
  • If the calls are completed and waiting lists are exhausted without all the places being filled, vacancies will be awarded in the order of application submitted.

In master's degrees where specific selection criteria are established (professional experience, accrediting competence in a certain area or any other that does not meet the general criteria), the academic committee of the master's degree will be the body that initially selects the students.

If you come from a foreign educational system, attach to your application, in addition, the declaration of equivalence of the average grade of your file, which is obtained through the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.

Application

To apply for admission, you must fill in the data at the Virtual Secretary’s Office, on the dates marked on Master’s degree Calendar and deadlines.

The documentation accrediting the merits to be assessed in the specific criteria must be submitted electronically together with the application.

It will be understood that students who do not send any documentation wish to be assessed solely by the academic record made available to the USC or by what is stated in the application.

Allocation of places

For master's degrees with fewer applications than places, all persons who have applied and meet the admission requirements will be admitted regardless of the selection criteria.

At the request of the master's degree coordinator, when there are more applicants than there are places, up to 10 % more places may be authorised.

Formalisation of the enrolment

Once the lists of admitted and waiting students have been published, the admitted students will have to formalise the enrolment within the period indicated.  If you do not register within this period, you will lose your right to the allocated places.

  • In the master's degree courses that do not have a waiting list, as they have fewer applications than places, students who do not have a previous application will be able to register in order of registration on the specific dates.
  • In those master's degree courses with a waiting list where not all the admitted students have registered, vacancies will be assigned by individual call among the people on the waiting list, and the order of the list will be followed until the total number of places has been completed. The same procedure will be followed when there is a cancellation of enrolment.
  • If, at the end of the waiting list, there are vacancies, students without prior application may enrol in order of registration until the places are filled or until the end of the vacancy period.
