Learning results:
- Strengthening the student's knowledge on the acquisition and processing of experimental data.
- Acquisition of basic knowledge of working in an optical laboratory, safety measures necessary in working with lasers and experimental methods commonly used in optics and photonics today.
- To develop specific skills of optics and photonics, as aligning of optical systems and spatial filtering of laser beams.
- To acquire basic knowledge, from an experimental perspective, on the processing and transmission of information by optical methods, as well as handling and guiding light.

SPECIFIC
CE11 - Acquire knowledge and mastery of the strategies and systems of transmission of light and radiation.
CE12 - Provide specialized training in the different fields covered by Fundamental Physics: from environmental physics, fluid physics or acoustics to quantum and radiation phenomena with their technological, medical applications, etc.
There will be an introduction before each experience. In the laboratory, students will have a script, which will indicate the specific activities to be performed. Students must submit a report of any kind (s) about the experiments carried out, following a format similar to a scientific paper, with particular emphasis on the conclusions.
Students can access the materials used through the Virtual USC platform. This platform can be used to schedule and to make different activities.
Attendance at the laboratory sessions will be an essential requirement for this course. Continuous assessment will be based on the work carried out in the laboratory (CB6, CB7, CG01, CG05, CT01, CT02, CE11, CE12) and the quality of the reports (CB8, CB9, CB10, CG02, CG03, CG04) that the student must present:

However, all the students can attend to a final exam (100%).
In cases of fraudulent completion of exercises or tests, the provisions of the "Regulations for the evaluation of the academic performance of students and for the review of grades" will apply:
The fraudulent performance of any exercise or test required in the evaluation of a subject will imply a failure grade in the corresponding call, regardless of the disciplinary process that may be followed against the offending student. It will be considered fraudulent, among others, the realization of plagiarized works or obtained from sources accessible to the public without reworking or reinterpretation and without citations to the authors and the sources.
