Mandatory insurance:

Selection system
Availability to carry out the Master's activities Curriculum vitae (50%) and personal interview (50%) The interview will assess empathy and communication skills, especially in interaction with patients, as well as the ability to work in an interdisciplinary team. Motivation and vocation for Dentistry in people with functional diversity and medical conditions will also be assessed. Real and hypothetical clinical cases will be presented to analyze the ability to adapt and make decisions. Finally, it will be key to demonstrate commitment to continuous training, professional ethics and the humanization of dental care.

Objectives
1. Integrate Oral Health with General Health to Improve Patients' Quality of Life: Understand the interrelationship between oral health and systemic pathologies in order to design interdisciplinary treatment plans in collaboration with other health professionals.2. Apply a Multidisciplinary Approach Integrating the Different Dental Specialities in the Care of Patients with Special Needs: Develop skills to work in an interdisciplinary manner, integrating knowledge from the different dental specialities in the planning and execution of treatments adapted to patients with disabilities or complex medical conditions.
3. Apply Dental Care Strategies Based on Evidence and the Principles of Inclusive Dentistry: Develop skills to apply treatment protocols backed by scientific evidence, guaranteeing accessible, quality care for all patients.
4. Develop Communication Skills and Patient-Centred Care with Functional Diversity and Specific Needs: Train dentists in the use of adapted communication strategies to improve the experience of disabled and medically compromised patients, guaranteeing humanised and effective care.
5. To Promote the Research and Development of New Dental Care Protocols for Patients with Special Needs: To train professionals to generate scientific knowledge and develop new therapeutic strategies in Dentistry applied to people with functional diversity and complex medical conditions.

Evaluation
A continuous theoretical-practical assessment system will be applied in which the attitude and acquisition of knowledge and clinical skills, the treatment and presentation of cases, as well as the participation in the development of research work will be considered. In addition, it will be complemented by peer evaluations, reflective self-assessment, feedback from patients or relatives, and a portfolio of competencies. The impact of treatments on the patient's quality of life and the use of digital tools for case planning and evaluation will also be considered.
Tutoring
The Master's programme will apply active methodologies that integrate theory, practice and continuous assessment. Teaching will combine Problem-Based Learning and Evidence-Based Learning, using real clinical cases and scientific literature. Skills will be reinforced through clinical simulation with models, advanced technique workshops and the use of digital technology. In contact with patients, Clinical Practice Based Learning will be applied with an individualised and multidisciplinary approach. Adapted protocols will be used for clinical evaluation, with emphasis on detailed medical history, coordination with other health professionals and the use of risk scales. A comprehensive care model will be implemented, which will include: 1) Adapted communication techniques, considering patients with cognitive or language difficulties; 2) Behavioural management and desensitisation techniques, especially in patients with intellectual disabilities or autism spectrum disorders; 3) Use of conscious sedation and general anaesthesia where necessary; 4) Prevention protocols and personalised treatment, prioritising minimally invasive strategies and functional rehabilitation; 5) Clinical and ergonomic adaptations, ensuring accessibility in the dental environment; 6) Follow-up and continuity of oral care, with individualised control plans and collaboration with family members and carers. In addition, applied research will be encouraged with clinical studies and systematic reviews/meta-analyses. Due to the contact with patients, Spanish and Galician are required languages. The master's degree will include theoretical tutorials to reinforce knowledge and resolve doubts, clinical tutorials with supervision during clinical placements, case discussion and simulation, research tutorials to guide research work and personalised tutorials for academic monitoring and professional guidance.
