Maps and plans
Plans, maps and nautical charts.

This is a factitious section, made up of documents from the different sections of the Archive which, in order to preserve and maintain their format, are kept grouped together.

The plans, most of which come from the university collection, correspond to buildings in the city of Santiago, whether existing or not. Of particular note are those of the Colleges of Fonseca and San Xerome, those of the University building, the house of the Inquisition and Belvís convent, among others.

The authors of the plans include Mateo López, Alonso González, Domingo de Andrade, Diego de Romay, Fernández Lechuga, etc.

The basic documentation dates are from the beginning of the 16th century to the middle of the 20th century.

The maps and nautical charts represent, for the most part, Galician geography.
