The Asociación Síndrome de Down de Vigo was created in 1989 with the aim of achieving the full integration of people with Down's syndrome and intellectual disabilities and to contribute to improving their quality of life.
“Me muevo"(I move) programme, personal autonomy and social skills and knowledge of the environment
With "Me muevo", personal autonomy is worked on through the development of social skills and knowledge of the environment.
Autonomy is reinforced through weekly training sessions in the classroom and weekend outings where the skills worked on in the training context are put into practice.
Children with Down's Syndrome/intellectual disabilities from the age of 6 participate in this programme.
- Timetable: training sessions are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and outings are on Fridays and Saturdays, according to the type of activity.

Training itineraries
Preparation for adult life by working on motor skills, cognitive skills, conflict resolution, euro management, health. It touches on the relevant aspects that allow people with DS to access a level of autonomy that always respects the rhythms of each person and the needs/motivations of the person and their family. This work runs parallel to other services such as social integration and supported employment.
- Timetable: Mondays and Wednesdays, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Supported Employment (SE)
Classroom support for workers (Supported Employment modality, in a joint enterprise). Accompanies them at work to help them on site to integrate tasks and develop social and work skills. There, areas for improvement are detected and they are transferred to the SE technicians in a team meeting so that they can see how they can practice, train and improve that skill/task/competence in the classroom.
- Timetable: Monday, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Places: 3
