The Degree in Audiovisual Communication aims to train professionals with a critical, analytical and reflective capacity in relation to audiovisual media, with technical and aesthetic knowledge of the methods, processes and trends in audiovisual communication in our environment, capable of communicating clearly and coherently in the languages of ​​their own community, and to have knowledge of other languages, particularly English. Aunque no se exige ninguna formación previa específica, para el ingreso en el grado en Comunicación Audiovisual se recomienda que la formación del alumno sea la propia del perfil de las Ciencias Sociales (R.D. 1467/2007, BOE del 6 de noviembre, por el que se establece la estructura del bachillerato y se fijan las enseñanzas mínimas).

Cualidades deseables del futuro estudiante del grado de Comunicación Audiovisual:

-Interés por los productos audiovisuales y por los mecanismos necesarios para su producción y difusión.
-Interés por las artes visuales y por la creación de obras artísticas audiovisuales.
-Interés por los medios de comunicación y por el conocimiento de la actualidad.
-Capacidad de observación del entorno.

1.- El alumnado de primer curso por primera vez a tiempo completo tienen que matricular 60 créditos. Un 15% del alumnado podrá cursar estudios a tiempo parcial (30 créditos).
2.- Continuación de estudios: libre con un máximo de 75 créditos

La USC tiene un programa de alumnos tutores para las titulaciones de grao, de forma que alumnos de últimos cursos, despues de una formación que les facilita la Universidad, realizan tareas de orientación a los alumnos que inician los estudios.

Cuando se produzca la suspensión de un Título oficial, la USC garantiza el adecuado desarrollo efectivo de las enseñanzas que hubieran iniciado sus estudiantes hasta su finalización. Para ello, el Consejo de Gobierno aprueba los criterios relacionados, entre otros, con:
• La admisión de matrículas de nuevo ingreso en la titulación.
• La supresión gradual de la impartición de la docencia.
• Si el título extinguido es sustituido por otro similar (modificando la naturaleza del título), fija las condiciones que facilitan a los/las estudiantes la continuidad de estudios en el nuevo título y las equivalencias entre las materias de uno y otro plan.

Access to Bachelor’s Degree programmes is granted to students with the following degrees/ diplomas or studies, or any other recognized as equivalent to these:
A.1. Spanish Bachiller, European Baccalaureate or International Baccalaureate.
A.2. Baccalaureate from European Union Member States’ education systems or other countries withinternational agreements.
A.3. Advanced Technician in Vocational Training, Advanced Technician in Plastic Arts and Design orAdvanced Technician in Sports Education, from the Spanish Education System.
A.4.Studies carried out in European Union Member States or in other countries with international reciprocal agreements which meet the academic requirements in those States to access their university study programmes.
A.5. Official Spanish university degrees of Diplomado, Arquitecto Técnico, Ingeniero Técnico, Licenciado, Arquitecto, Ingeniero, Graduado or Máster Universitario.
A.6. Partial (foreign or Spanish) university studies.
Access to Bachelor’s Degree programmes is also possible for:
B.1. People over twenty-five after successfully passing a specific access test.
B.2. People over forty with work or professional experience related to a university field of knowledge.
B.3. People over forty-five after successfully passing a specific access test.
Likewise, access to Bachelor’s Degree programmes is granted to:
C.1. People meeting the requirements to enter university according to the Spanish Education System regulations prior to Ley Orgánica 8/2013, of December 9.

The faculty has 9 general purpose classrooms, 3 viewing classrooms, 5 computer labs dedicated to laboratory assignments of the subjects associated with press and multimedia, 2 radio studios, 2 TV sets, 1 film set with stage machinery, one computerised television newsroom classroom, 7 video editing booths, and 1 dubbing room.

There are also areas designated for students, like two computer rooms that are free to use and three meeting rooms.

We can also highlight that wireless Internet connection is available everywhere in the Faculty

The Library of the Faculty of Communication Sciences has more than 80 reading stations and a work room.

To promote critical, analytical and reflective capacity in relation to the audiovisual project, with technical and aesthetic knowledge of the forms, processes and trends of audiovisual communication in our environment. To provide basic and general knowledge of the main events and mensaxes that make up the current panorama of audiovisual media, of iconic and acoustic representations and of their evolution.
To provide an exhaustive knowledge of the techniques and processes of audiovisual creation and diffusion in its various phases, as well as the relationship between the subtleties of audiovisual communication.
To explain the methodologies and concepts applicable to the different branches of research, development and innovation of audiovisual communication and future technological environments.
To encourage the ability to express oneself concisely and coherently in the languages of one's community, as well as to learn other languages, in particular English, in the context of cultural and creative industries' own productions.

Que los estudiantes hayan demostrado poseer y comprender conocimientos en un área de estudio que parte de la base de la educación secundaria general, y se suele encontrar a un nivel que, si bien se apoya en libros de texto avanzados, incluye también algunos aspectos que implican conocimientos procedentes de la vanguardia de su campo de estudio;

Que los estudiantes sepan aplicar sus conocimientos a su trabajo o vocación de una forma profesional y posean las competencias que suelen demostrarse por medio de la elaboración y defensa de argumentos y la resolución de problemas dentro de su área de estudio;

Mobility

En relación con el Programas Erasmus, existen intercambios, en la actualidad, con las siguientes universidades: Paris 8 (Francia), Alborg (Dinamarca), Lodz (Polonia), Tesalónica y Atenas (Grecia), Palermo (Italia) y Lisboa (Portugal). La difusión de estas plazas se hace por medio de reuniones informativas y el sistema de tablón electrónico del que dispone la Facultad para todo tipo de anuncios al alumnado. Cada año participan en la convocatoria una media de 15 alumnos. En cuanto a la distribución de las becas Sicue-Séneca, se sigue un proceso similar, habiéndose establecido acuerdos con las siguientes universidades: Autónoma de Barcelona, Sevilla, Pompeu Fabra de Barcelona, Málaga, La Laguna de Canarias, Rey Juan Carlos de Madrid, Carlos III de Madrid y País Vasco. La Facultad admite cada año 2 alumnos de los programas de intercambio bilateral con Iberoamérica para la licenciatura de Comunicación Audiovisual. El curso 2007/08 el Centro recibió estudiantes de la Universidad Federal de Pernambuco (Brasil).

La movilidad de los/as estudiantes está regulada a través del “Reglamento de intercambios interuniversitarios”. A través de la Oficina de Relaciones Exteriores se gestionan programas de intercambio tanto nacionales (SICUE), como europeos (ERASMUS) y extracomunitarios (intercambios con países de América Latina o países de habla inglesa):

Internships

Hay un Módulo de Prácticas en empresas del sector audiovisual que se trata de períodos formativos complementarios en empresas del sector audiovisual, vinculadas a la Universidad a través del convenio de prácticas USC-Empresa que regula esta actividad. Las competencias que adquirirán los estudiantes son las relacionadas con el propio desarrollo de su estancia formativa en las empresas convenidas. Junto a estas competencias específicas, los estudiantes conocerán a modo experimental la casuística del mercado laboral. El alumno realizará prácticas en empresas del sector audiovisual.

El Trabajo de fin de grado se programa para el último cuatrimestre. Se concibe como una asignatura en la que cada año la Facultad deberá ofertar las líneas referenciales de los trabajos a realizar, en función de las dinámicas propias de un sector en cambio y renovación constantes como es el de la comunicación, sus formatos, sus productos y sus contenidos; y en función, también, de las líneas de investigación desarrolladas desde los Departamentos adscritos al Centro.
