The DEIN-Circular Master's Degree provides advanced, specialised, and multidisciplinary training in the field of sustainable economic development and innovation, with two alternative profiles, one oriented towards management and R&D policies and innovation and the other towards the Circular Economy and sustainable development.
In the academic year 2022-2023 the degree consolidates its strength in the speciality of innovation and sustainability management while establishing a new speciality in Sustainability and Circular Economy.

La Universidad, a través del Servicio de Relaciones Exteriores, mantiene un sistema de información permanente que se complementa con campañas y acciones informativas específicas de promoción de las convocatorias.
Además, cuenta con recursos de apoyo para los estudiantes de acogida, tales como la reserva de plazas en las Residencias Universitarias, o el Programa de Atención a Estudiantes Extracomunitarios (PATEX) del Vicerrectorado con competencias en movilidad, a través del cual voluntarios/as de la USC realizan tareas de acompañamiento dirigidas a la integración en la ciudad y en la Universidad de los estudiantes de acogida.
También se organiza una sesión de recepción, al inicio de cada cuatrimestre, en la que se les informa y orienta sobre el centro y los estudios, al tiempo que se les pone en contacto con los coordinadores académicos, que actuarán como tutores, y el personal del Centro implicado en su atención.
La universidad dispone de diversos servicios para el apoyo y orientación del alumnado durante su trayectoria universitaria:
Asesoramiento y acción tutorial.
- Informa sobre las características académicas de los estudios y sobre sus salidas profesionales.
- Informa sobre el régimen de acceso y permanencia del alumnado en la Universidad.
- Informa sobre los derechos del alumnado y asesora sobre el modo de ejercerlos y/o reclamarlos.
- Informa, a nivel general y en los Centros, de las becas y ayudas convocadas.
- Promueve la creación de becas y ayudas y propone a las Juntas de Gobierno las acciones a llevar a cabo en materia de becas, ayudas y exenciones.
- Asesora en la búsqueda de empleo. En esta línea se realizan varias actuaciones que tienen como finalidad atender necesidades de información y orientación laboral. Ofrece información sobre salidas profesionales, prácticas, ofertas de empleo, direcciones de empresas, ayudas y subvenciones para el autoempleo.

Mobility
Student mobility is regulated through the “Regulation of inter-university exchange.” Exchange programs are managed through the International Relations Office, such as national exchange programs (SICUE) as well as Europeans (ERASMUS) and from outside the European Union (exchanges with Latin American countries or English-speaking countries):
Internships
All students will have to take the 6 ECTS External Internships subject, consisting of internships in companies or institutions.
Each student will have a teacher-tutor and a responsible-tutor in the company or institution in which they are developed, to monitor and evaluate them.
Besides the functions assigned in the company, the student must carry out and submit a report of the activities performed and the benefits obtained for his/her training.
Those who can prove work experience in the field of innovation and economic development may request the recognition of this subject, so that the Academic Committee of the Master's Degree may decide on its relevance, following the criteria established for this purpose.
All the students will have to do a Master’s thesis (TFM) of 6 ECTS.
The Master’s thesis consists of the elaboration of an original project of individual character in which the demonstrate the acquired knowledge and skills in the subjects that make up the syllabus, under the supervision of an academic tutor. It must integrate and develop the training contents received, and the abilities, competencies and skills acquired during the Master's studies. The projects must be oriented to the application of the specific competencies of the degree, to enable students to search, manage, organize and interpret data relevant to their area of study, to make judgments that include a reflection on relevant social, scientific, technological or ethical issues, and to facilitate the development of critical, logical and creative thinking and judgment.
In the case of students with an academic-professional orientation, the Master Thesis will have a clearly applied character and in the case of students with a research vocation, they must carry out a Master Thesis with a methodology and a theoretical load typical of a research work.
This master's degree has teaching staff from the USC with extensive academic, management and research experience to guarantee its viability. In addition, the master's degree has external lecturers of recognised renown.

Access degrees in order of preference:
1º Degree in Economics and in Business Administration and Management
2nd Other degrees in the area of Social Sciences and Law
3º Degrees in Humanities, Sciences, Health Sciences, Engineering and Architecture
Complementary training:
- Business Administration and Economics degrees will take the Master’s Degree without complementary training
- The rest of the degrees will take the Master’s Degree with 3 complementary trainings.
Students coming from countries with a language other than Galician, Portuguese or Spanish must accredit the Galician language level: Celga II, or Spanish: B1, in accordance with the Agreement of the Governing Council of the USC of 30 July 2018.
If they do not have any of the qualifications, the USC will give them a level test and, if they do not pass it, they will have to attend an intensive course of Galician or Spanish in the first semester until they reach the required level.

- Possess and understand knowledge that provides a basis or opportunity for being original in the development and/or application of ideas —usually in a research context.
- Students must know how to apply their acquired knowledge and their capacity of problem solving in new or uncommon surroundings. All of this, inside broader —or multidisciplinary— contexts associated with their study area.
- Students must be able to integrate knowledge and confront the complexity of making judgements from information which could be incomplete and limited. This information must include reflections about social and ethical responsibilities associated with the application of their study areas’ knowledge and judgements.
- Students must know how to clearly and unambiguously communicate their conclusions —and the knowledge and ultimate reasons that sustain them— to specialized and non-specialized public.
- Students must possess learning abilities that will allow them to continue studying, in a way which would be largely self-directed and autonomous.

- That students possess theoretical and applied knowledge of investigation techniques and diagnosis tools in order to elaborate studies and reports of a scientific and technical nature and of consultancy in the field of sustainability and circular economy and innovation.
- Ability to conceive, design, analyse and evaluate policies and public policy instruments to promote innovation, sustainable economic development and the circular economy at different levels of government (European, state, regional and local).
- Ability to formulate, integrate and synthesize new and complex ideas in participatory processes for the elaboration of strategic plans in the field of economic development and sustainability.
- Ability to conceive, design, implement and manage R&D, circular economy, innovation or sectorial development programmes and projects in the areas of specialization (regional, local, sectorial, business).
- To acquire the theoretical and instrumental knowledge necessary for the exercise of a professional activity of high level for the design and management of strategic plans, programmes and projects related to circular economic development, innovation and sustainability.

Mobility
Student mobility is regulated through the “Regulation of inter-university exchange.” Exchange programs are managed through the International Relations Office, such as national exchange programs (SICUE) as well as Europeans (ERASMUS) and from outside the European Union (exchanges with Latin American countries or English-speaking countries):
Internships
All students will have to take the 6 ECTS External Internships subject, consisting of internships in companies or institutions.
Each student will have a teacher-tutor and a responsible-tutor in the company or institution in which they are developed, to monitor and evaluate them.
Besides the functions assigned in the company, the student must carry out and submit a report of the activities performed and the benefits obtained for his/her training.
Those who can prove work experience in the field of innovation and economic development may request the recognition of this subject, so that the Academic Committee of the Master's Degree may decide on its relevance, following the criteria established for this purpose.
All the students will have to do a Master’s thesis (TFM) of 6 ECTS.
The Master’s thesis consists of the elaboration of an original project of individual character in which the demonstrate the acquired knowledge and skills in the subjects that make up the syllabus, under the supervision of an academic tutor. It must integrate and develop the training contents received, and the abilities, competencies and skills acquired during the Master's studies. The projects must be oriented to the application of the specific competencies of the degree, to enable students to search, manage, organize and interpret data relevant to their area of study, to make judgments that include a reflection on relevant social, scientific, technological or ethical issues, and to facilitate the development of critical, logical and creative thinking and judgment.
In the case of students with an academic-professional orientation, the Master Thesis will have a clearly applied character and in the case of students with a research vocation, they must carry out a Master Thesis with a methodology and a theoretical load typical of a research work.
This master's degree has teaching staff from the USC with extensive academic, management and research experience to guarantee its viability. In addition, the master's degree has external lecturers of recognised renown.
