Summary
The objective of this project is to evaluate to what extent a deep reinforcement learning (DRL) agent, without prior financial knowledge, can develop stable and effective dynamic asset allocation policies. The research question focuses on whether such an agent, trained solely on historical data and without parametric assumptions about price dynamics, can outperform traditional portfolio management strategies in metrics such as profitability and loss control. To this end, a modular simulation environment is built from scratch, integrating real price series, technical indicators, and macroeconomic variables. An experimental protocol is designed to select the best parameter configuration and compare it against classical benchmarks. The results show that the DRL agent not only competes but in most metrics outperforms traditional strategies, confirming its potential for dynamic portfolio management in controlled environments.

Summary
This Bachelor's Thesis aims to analyze the level of acceptance of autonomous cars among young consumers, as well as identify the factors influencing their willingness to use or purchase them in the future. In a context of rapid technological transformation in the field of mobility, it is essential to understand the perceptions, emotions, and barriers affecting the adoption of this innovation. The research is structured into a first theoretical part, where the available academic literature on autonomous cars, consumer behavior towards them, and market acceptance to date is reviewed, and a second empirical part based on a survey conducted on Google Forms, with a sample of young people aged between 19 and 25 years mainly. The questionnaire aims to collect relevant information on sociodemographic variables, experience with technologies, associated emotions, trust level, and willingness to try or purchase an autonomous car, which can provide answers to the main question of the thesis. Finally, the results obtained through an initial exploratory analysis of the collected data, and a subsequent descriptive analysis worked on the same, show a moderately favorable attitude towards the autonomous car, although conditioned by lack of trust, unfamiliarity with the technology, and concerns related to safety, ethics, and loss of control. The thesis concludes with a reflection on the results obtained, the difficulties in its development, and proposes future research lines to expand the knowledge on this study.

Summary
This paper analyzes the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the Spanish digital economy, exploring its social perception, its adoption in businesses, and its potential future implications, while maintaining a constant comparison between Spain and the rest of Europe. The main objective is to understand how Spanish citizens and corporations are responding to this emerging technology, both in terms of social perception and business adoption, and how it can contribute to our economy. The results were obtained using a qualitative methodology, based on a literature review and statistical reports from secondary sources such as the INE, EY, and IBM, with a descriptive analysis of the primary data. They show a surprisingly positive social perception that has been increasing in recent years, an uneven implementation by businesses (mainly biased by their size), and a potential significant impact on productivity and the economy. Ultimately, this paper concludes that AI represents a strategic opportunity for Spain, provided that barriers such as the cost of adoption and the fear of job loss, which both the government and businesses are proactively trying to mitigate, are overcome.

Summary
Tourism is an economic and social phenomenon that encompasses a broad field of study. In Spain, it represents a determining factor in the economy. Statistically, it is the second most visited country in the world; this represents a significant source of income. Most tourists arriving in Spain seek various sun and beach destinations; however, there is a wide variety of alternative destinations that complement the tourism offering. This study analyzes the role of the evolution of Rural Tourism in Europe and Spain. The research focus stems from the attempt to predict the behavior of different variables that affect both the supply and demand of Rural Tourism. For example: whether the demand for these rural accommodation establishments was affected by COVID-19, its corresponding lockdown, and the state of emergency; the analysis of the Galician community, comparing the province of Lugo with the average of the other three Galician provinces; and the prediction of the months of February and March to study the relative error of the prediction. The relationship between the main variables that describe the number of staff and the number of resident travelers has been analyzed. Regression models have been used to determine whether this relationship is the same across the different provinces of Lugo and the average across the other three Galician provinces.

Summary
Income inequality is a socio-economic phenomenon that reflects an unequal distribution of income and has significant consequences for social cohesion and economic development. Inequality in Spain is higher than in the European Union, making it one of the most unequal countries in the EU. Galicia is a peripheral region that shows lower levels of inequality than the national average. The aim of this Bachelor’s Thesis is to analyse the evolution of income inequality in Galicia and Spain for the years 2019 and 2022. Specifically, the Lorenz Curve is used for both the four Galician provinces and the country as a whole. The analysis also combines the Gini Index with the S80/S20 ratio, in a time perspective since the 2008 financial crisis. Sociodemographic factors such as access to housing and unemployment rates by gender and age are also analysed. The study provides a novel perspective by focusing on inter- and intra-provincial analysis of Galicia, a region which, despite being studied in regional comparison with other Autonomous Communities, has been little explored in studies that delve into its own internal territorial inequalities. The results show that Galicia consistently maintains significantly lower inequality than Spain during the years analysed, with a greater reduction in inequality after the COVID-19 pandemic than the national average. However, there are differences between its provinces, with Ourense being the most unequal province and Lugo showing the lowest inequality. Galicia’s lower inequality is due to the fact that the privileged classes in the highest income percentiles in Galicia have lower incomes than Spain’s richest classes.

Summary
In recent years, the use of search engines and social media to look up health-related information has become a common practice. The rise of the internet has facilitated quick access to information but has also increased the risk of exposure to false and harmful content. Medical misinformation not only creates confusion but can also lead to poor decisions that may seriously impact people’s health. This project addresses the problem of medical misinformation in search engines and online platforms. By analyzing data from the international TREC Health Misinformation Track Competition (2020, 2021, and 2022 editions), it examines how certain medical queries may be associated with retrieving helpful or harmful information in the information retrieved. The main objective is to identify patterns in queries that help anticipate whether a medical search carries a higher risk of retrieving misinformation. To achieve this, three different predictors are designed and evaluated: lexical frequency, bias detection, and the use of large language models (LLMs) to estimate the level of controversy in a query. This analysis aims to provide solutions that could be applied to search engines or social media, helping to quickly detect queries with a higher risk of retrieving medical misinformation.

Summary
This Final Degree Project aims to analyze the evolution and make a forecast of the supply and demand of rural tourism in Galicia, with special attention to the province of Lugo. Using econometric forecasting techniques, we study time series covering the period from January 2001 to February 2025. The methodology is based on the analysis of data obtained from the National Statistics Institute (INE) and the Galician Institute of Statistics (IGE), as well as the use of the GRETL software. Various ARIMAX models are proposed and validated to model the supply and demand of accommodation places in rural tourism establishments, both in Galicia (excluding Lugo) and in the province of Lugo. Dummy variables such as Lockdown, States of Alarm, and Easter are included to improve predictive accuracy. Some of the proposed models show a good fit, especially the supply models, with prediction errors below 1%. In contrast, the demand models present errors above 10%, reflecting poor predictive capacity. Additionally, the relationship between variables such as price, number of places offered, and number of travelers has been analyzed using double-logarithmic regression models. The results indicate weak relationships, suggesting that external factors such as seasonality or the tourist profile have a significant influence. In conclusion, rural tourism in Galicia has evolved from isolated initiatives into a diversified and consolidating model, although it continues to face challenges such as seasonality.

Summary
The purpose of this Final Degree Project is to analyze the historical evolution and impact of e-banking in the European context, focusing specifically on the Spanish case. Using a methodology that combines the analysis of statistical data from official sources (such as the Bank of Spain, the National Institute of Statistics (INE), Funcas, and BBVA Research) with practical techniques such as surveys and interviews, the project studies how digitalization has revolutionized banking operations. The project analyzes the factors that have fostered or hindered the growth of digital banking, and a comparison is made between different European countries to identify similarities and differences in usage. Furthermore, the project analyzes security risks such as cyberattacks and social problems arising from digitalization, such as financial exclusion in rural areas or among vulnerable groups. From a practical perspective, and with the aim of complementing the information provided through secondary sources on the Internet, an interview was conducted with a banking sector professional to gather their personal experiences in managing digital transformation in financial institutions. A survey was also conducted among young people to understand their habits, perceptions, and level of trust in digital banking.

The company Pescados Marcelino faces the great challenge of trying to adapt to an increasingly digitalised and competitive market. It should be noted that digitisation is not only about incorporating technology into business processes but also achieving an evolution in the culture of organisations for data becomes the basis for their decisions. This will allow them, among other things, to anticipate changes, optimise processes and reduce costs. In this respect, Business Intelligence (BI) solutions such as Power BI are of great importance. In particular, this platform facilitates the integration and analysis of data from different areas of the organisation, providing visual dashboards, also known as scorecards, which enable quick and solidly based decisions to be made, while at the same time providing access to an overall view of the company. This work consists in developing dashboards in Power BI and applying predictive analytics to them, with the aim of improving the performance of information and data, as well as improving the company's decision making. Other key activities are also carried out, such as analysing the importance of digitalisation in this type of company, understanding and using the different ways of data integration or applying predictive analysis techniques to anticipate future tendencies. Thanks to the combination of digitalisation and the use of data analysis tools, such as Business Intelligence (BI) systems, organisations such as Pescados Marcelino can better manage the current environment, respond quickly to market changes and progress towards better business management.

Summary
Beef cattle farming has been part of Galicia's economic history for hundreds of years and today it continues to contribute to the national GDP, occupying an important position. However, it faces great challenges due to the changes that must be assumed in order to make this activity ecologically sustainable. The aim of this paper will be to carry out an analysis of the beef cattle sector in Galicia in order to know its position within the Spanish economy, its economic health, the impact of the CAP on the sector and its future prospects. One of the conclusions we can highlight is that net profit margins are very low and that tax and administrative burdens are jeopardising the viability of small farms in particular. The sector is in the midst of a transition process, which entails a change in the production model and must therefore undergo a process of adaptation. The latent threat of new disease outbreaks also poses an economic risk to farms. On the other hand, the number of farms has been decreasing in recent years and factors to consider include the high average age of most farm owners, the uncertainty of generational changeover, de-ruralisation and low profitability of the business. The outlook for the future of the sector is still encouraging, given that it is estimated that the demand for meat will continue to grow in the future and that the measures taken to adapt the activity to the challenges of climate change will lead to more environmentally sustainable farms.

Summary
This Final Degree Project presents the development of a business plan for the creation of a digital marketplace dedicated exclusively to fashion brands of national origin, with a focus on design, sustainability, and local identity. The idea arises from a need identified both in the environment of the founding member and in the market analysis: the absence of a unified platform that gives visibility and commercializes national brands with their own values, differentiating itself from the dominant model of fast fashion and generalist global marketplaces. The project includes an environmental analysis using the PESTEL model and Porter’s Five Forces, as well as a detailed proposal of the business model, marketing strategy, brand image, internal organization, and a five-year financial plan. The marketplace is based on a commission-per-sale model, and its viability relies on conservative yet realistic forecasts of progressive growth in affiliated brands and users. The approach combines a strong aesthetic identity with a value proposition based on commitment to national design and purpose-driven fashion. The organizational structure is lean and scalable, suitable for the early stages of the business. Finally, the financial analysis shows high profitability and sustainability from the first year. This project provides a comprehensive and practical vision of how to transform a market need into a viable business proposal aligned with current consumer trends in the fashion sector.

Summary
This Bachelor's Thesis aims to analyze the financial viability of the company OBO WeTeachRobotics, specialized in educational robotics, through the application of quantitative models based on matrix algebra, specifically Markov Chains and Monte Carlo simulations. By analyzing a sample of comparable companies within the sector, two transition models are constructed: a conservative one, based on traditional financial criteria, and another adapted to the specific characteristics of the sector. The results show that applying strict models tends to reflect a high concentration of financial risk states, whereas the adapted model provides a more realistic view, allowing for the observation of improvement trajectories toward stable financial states. The study concludes that OBO's financial viability is plausible in the short and medium term, although it is conditioned by its ability to maintain recurring income and reduce dependence on external financing.

Summary
The increasing use of digital platforms in university education enables highly detailed tracking of student behavior, opening new opportunities to understand phenomena such as procrastination. This Bachelor's Thesis analyzes the relationship between procrastination and academic performance using data extracted from the virtual campus of the University of Santiago de Compostela, specifically from the course Technological Workshops in the Degree in Business and Technology. Based on the submission dates of five assignments, both the submission lead time and the grades obtained were analyzed. The exploratory analysis revealed significant variability in both grades and submission timing, as well as some differences depending on the modality (individual or group work). Later, using unsupervised learning techniques specifically the K-means clustering algorithm four distinct student profiles were identified, reflecting varying levels of procrastination and their potential impact on academic performance. While the results show a certain association between late submission and low performance, they also highlight that submission lead time alone is not a sufficient predictor of final grades.

Summary
Currently, the livestock sector is undergoing a process of modernization and robotization on farms. Although there are multiple options available for farmers, they do not have solid information to support their decision-making. This study aims to create a predictive model to estimate the impact of robotization, specifically the milking robot, on Galician farms. For this purpose, data were collected from 31 Galician farms, including information on production before and after robotization, the number of cows, and other farm characteristics. Data extraction and transformation processes were combined with advanced analysis using the RapidMiner tool. Clustering, classification, and regression algorithms were applied. The resulting models achieved 81.90% accuracy in categorical prediction of production increase and a root mean squared error of 2.056 liters per day in the quantitative estimation. The results indicate that variables such as available surface area per cow, the type of farm (intensive or extensive), and the percentage of milk protein have a significant influence on productive improvement after robotization. It was also confirmed that all farms studied achieved payback periods of less than six years, showing that the increase in production with the implementation of the milking robot is more than sufficient to amortize the costs of this technology. Thus, it presents itself as a viable and intelligent option for farmers. Among the limitations are the small sample size and the exclusive origin of the data from a commercial company, which may introduce some bias. Nevertheless, the model is prepared for scalability and variety, with expectations of highly remarkable results as the database expands.

Summary
This study analyses how electricity production in Galicia changed between 1970 and 2020, with a particular emphasis on generation using renewable energy sources. The main sources used for the study were data from the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) and the National Institute of Statistics (INE). Using this information, a number of graphs were created, facilitating the analysis and explanation of the evolution over time of electricity production in Galicia, in addition to a comparison with generation in Spain as a whole. During this half century, it can be seen how Galicia changed from being a region producing hydroelectric power to developing large power stations for which the major fuel was coal. However, starting at the beginning of the 21st century, the trend took a new turn, with a strong surge towards developing projects focusing on renewable energy sources, mainly wind power. Based on the expected evolution of power production, the sectors in the area of renewables with the greatest potential for bringing about regional growth have been identified and they should receive strong public support, if we want Galicia to continue to be in the forefront of the transition to more sustainable, environmentally friendly energy sources. Among the sectors with the greatest potential for the Autonomous Region are small hydroelectric plants, solar power as a whole, offshore wind power and wave power, which uses the energy produced by waves.

Summary
The main objective of this work is to analyse and predict the behaviour of online users using machine learning techniques. To do this, Markov models are used, which allow us to interpret sequences of clicks and anticipate the most probable actions during browsing, thus improving the user's experience on the web by reducing the number of passes necessary to reach a given objective. In the absence of public databases, a dataset was generated using artificial intelligence and language modelling to simulate an online bookstore, including detailed information about fictional authors, their books and descriptions. To structure navigation and simulate behaviour, strategic goals were set by simulating tasks that users might perform within a website. The models were implemented using Python libraries. The results obtained show that, with a sufficient volume of data, Markov models are able to predict web browsing sequences, which facilitates their integration into other applications that require personalisation.

Summary
The work analyzes and compares the economic and technological policies for the use of electric vehicles (EV) in Spain and Germany, within the framework of the European Union. The EU aims for climate neutrality by 2050 and the ban on the sale of internal combustion vehicles from 2035, supported by regulations for the development of alternative fuel infrastructures. In Spain, the adoption of EVs faces obstacles such as high purchase prices and limited charging infrastructure. The government has implemented the MOVES III Plan, which directly incentivizes vehicle purchase and the installation of charging points, and the PERTE VEC, which promotes industrial transformation and R+D+I in the automotive sector. Despite sustained growth in electrified vehicle registrations, especially hybrids, Spain lags behind the European average. Germany, as an industrial power, has committed to electrification with a climate neutrality target for 2045. It became the largest European EV market in 2021 thanks to incentives like the Umweltbonus and tax exemptions. However, the cancellation of these bonuses in December 2023 has raised expectations of a temporary slowdown in adoption rates from 2024 onwards. Indeed, data from the first quarter of 2025 suggest stagnation in major markets like Germany. Despite this, Germany continues expanding its infrastructure with plans such as Deutschlandnetz, which seeks a national fast-charging network. The work concludes that, although Spain is progressing, it needs to intensify its policies to converge with the most developed European countries in electric mobility.

Sustainable finance has gained significant importance as a response to global challenges such as climate change, social justice, and corporate governance. In this context, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria have become a key tool for investors to assess the sustainability of their investments. Among the many financial assets available in the markets, ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds) have emerged as one of the most popular instruments due to their liquidity, diversification, and low cost. The combination of these two trends ESG and ETFs has driven notable growth in the market for ESG focused ETFs. Despite this, the academic literature has yet to reach a clear consensus on the impact of ESG criteria on financial performance. For this reason, the main objective of this Final Degree Project (TFG) is to analyze whether the consideration of ESG criteria in investment decision making can be beneficial for the profitability of ETF investments. To this end, a one way ANOVA test was applied to a sample of 115 equity ETFs, examining the relationship between their MSCI ESG rating and their 3, 5, and 10 year returns. The dataset was also segmented according to risk level, ETF size, geographic investment region, and the market capitalization of the companies in their portfolios. The results show that ETFs with higher ESG ratings tend to achieve better returns, although this relationship depends on specific ETF characteristics and contextual factors. This TFG contributes to the existing literature while offering relevant insights for investors, asset managers, and sustainable investment decision makers in their pursuit of financial markets that support sustainable development. This project contains 11,764 words.

Summary
Large Language Models (LLMs), such as ChatGPT, have made a strong entrance into the field of education, creating new opportunities to personalize learning, automate tasks, and support the understanding of complex concepts. In this context, the question arises regarding their applicability in non-specialized fields in computer science, where programming is a transversal but not primary competency. This Bachelor's Thesis focuses on investigating the impact of using LLMs in learning programming languages among students in non-computer science degrees, such as the Bachelor's Degree in Business and Technology. To carry this out, a study was conducted that combines a theoretical analysis of the role of artificial intelligence in education with a dual case study: first, a preliminary experiment with high school students, and then a second experiment with university students. Both approaches allowed for a qualitative and comparative observation of how students interact with artificial intelligence, what challenges they face, and the corresponding improvements in autonomy, understanding, and problem-solving skills. The results suggest that LLMs can be valuable support tools in learning programming, especially when guided by appropriate educational and training support. However, certain limitations were also identified, such as the students' level of maturity, the risk of over-reliance on technology, the lack of emotional interpretation by the AI, and the possibility of receiving incorrect answers. The conclusion of this research work states that there is no alternative but to integrate these models as additional resources to those already existing, creating a hybrid education system in which technology facilitates and promotes learning without replacing the role of the teacher.

Summary
This Bachelor's Thesis proposes the creation of a machine learning model to predict the risk of low birth weight in newborns. The model, developed in Python, was based on a dataset from the IMPACT-BCN project, which includes demographic and clinical variables of the mothers, as well as fetal measurements from various ultrasound scans. These variables were selected based on a series of criteria to achieve the highest possible accuracy, reaching 73.13% precision in the best-performing model. In parallel with the development of the model, we planned a survey to assess the level of difficulty participants had in understanding the information presented in the ultrasound medical reports, while also asking about their acceptance of AI. We observed that the terminology used is often too technical and presented only as numerical values, and that using ranges or analogies may help participants better understand the results. On the other hand, most participants showed a receptive attitude toward the use of artificial intelligence, although they still prefer a diagnosis from medical professionals. The study concludes with a summary of the analysis carried out during the project and outlines future applications.

Summary
This undergraduate thesis aims to carry out an analysis of the company Recambios Infra and the sector to which it belongs, using the available data from recent years. This analysis will be divided into two parts. In the first part, a brief presentation of the company under study will be provided, followed by a description of the sector in which it operates. In the second part, an economic and financial analysis of the company will be conducted using data from the period 2018.2022. The results will be compared with a parallel analysis of a selected comparison group, which will represent the sector and will consist of Galician companies with annual turnovers similar to that of Recambios Infra. This analysis will examine vertical and horizontal percentages, as well as a series of ratios related to the company’s short-term and long-term financial situation. Finally, the conclusions about the company’s situation and its position in relation to its sector competitors will be summarised. Additionally, any limitations encountered during the preparation of this thesis will also be discussed.

Summary
People are the most important resource that companies have, and therefore their well-being in the workplace is essential. Psychological harassment processes at work (bullying) cause that the working environment is not adequate for such well-being, and the performance of people (job performance) may be affected. Therefore, bullying is a crucial variable in this aspect by putting workers in a situation of stress, discomfort and inferiority in order to perform their tasks. In this paper we have analysed whether two variables (gender and sector) are conditioned by this type of processes in order to better understand this phenomenon and to discern who are more affected. On the other hand, a moderated mediation model has been tested to understand how bullying (mediating variable) affects the relationship between ethical leadership (X) and job performance (Y). This has been carried out with a representative sample of the Spanish salaried population (N= 968). The results indicate that there are only significant gender differences in the incidence rate of bullying, with men being more affected by this behaviour. Bullying does not significantly affect any one sector over another. On the other hand, bullying mediates the relationship between ethical leadership and job performance. However, gender and sector do not moderate the relationship between bullying and job performance. Therefore, the present work helps to understand how the relationships of bullying with other variables work in order to carry out impactful measures to ensure the well-being at work and the performance of workers.

Summary
This study, with a total length of 10,135 words, presents an economic-financial analysis of the Galician company Pescados Rubén, S.L., currently in insolvency proceedings. The main objective has been to study its recent evolution through an economic-financial analysis, analysing the general environment and with a comprehensive view of its competitive environment. For this purpose, classical tools of business analysis have been used, such as SWOT, PESTEL and Porter's five competitive forces model, as well as the study of its annual accounts, financial ratios and the evolution of the business in the bankruptcy situation. The results show a company with strong territorial roots, good infrastructure and brand recognition, but with serious liquidity problems, over-indebtedness and little capacity to adapt to the new market context. Difficulties in competing with large groups in the sector, together with rising costs and the decline in consumption of traditional fish have contributed to the progressive deterioration of its situation. The external environment, analysed using the PESTEL model, shows high regulatory, technological and social pressure, which affects the entire fishing industry. Likewise, Porter's analysis confirms that Pescados Rubén, S.L. has operated in a sector with high competitive rivalry and a weakened position vis-à-vis suppliers, customers and substitute products. As an extension, it is proposed to study possible restructuring scenarios, the territorial impact of its closure and the feasibility of a relaunch under new management. Overall, the work offers a realistic and critical view of the causes of the decline of a traditional company in the Galician sea and fishing sector, providing useful tools for its analysis and strategic reflection.

Summary
The aim of this last degree work is to analyse the impact of Artificial Intelligence and Immersive Technologies in the use of omnichannel strategies, determining their subsequent influence on the customer's experience and purchasing decisions. Through a quantitative methodology, the perceptions of 71 individuals are measured, as well as their behaviour in terms of the concepts that appear in the study. The purpose is to establish whether the use of the different technologies mentioned is considered a positive factor in terms of satisfaction and brand loyalty. The results of the study, obtained through correlation analysis, linear regression and bivariate analysis, show that most of the variables contribute to an increase in loyalty. However, it is worth highlighting the significant concern arising from the massive use of personal data, and that Artificial Intelligence, after multiple analyses, is not considered significant, being highlighted as a future line of research.

Summary
This paper provides an overview of how the use of social networking sites (SSN) in the workplace leads to stress and burnout syndrome. The paper compiles information from various sources that show that social media have certain effects on the worker. In this way, a literature review of important authors in the field of stress and burnout, such as Selye (1976), Maslach and Jackson (1981), Karasek (1979) or Siegrist (1996), as well as recent studies on SSR and mental health such as Hilal Bashir and Bhat (2017), Wu et al. (2021) or Wang et al. (2021) was carried out. Reading and collecting information allows us to determine that social media can have both positive and negative effects on employees. On the one hand, a bad use of these applications could generate anxiety, depersonalisation or job dissatisfaction, while, on the other hand, a proper use could increase productivity and improve communication between teams, generating benefits and advantages for the company. Due to the conclusions presented, there is a need to mitigate the negative effects. To this end, this paper presents a proposal for a plan to prevent burnout syndrome in the workplace. The plan is divided into 5 phases: awareness, training, diagnosis, transformation and follow-up. Through this plan, the aim is to tackle the consequences of SSR at work by actively controlling and continuously monitoring the factors that produce burnout and affect workers.

Summary
This Final Degree Project, comprising a total of 9,636 words, explores the challenges of generational succession in Spanish family businesses, focusing on the family protocol as a key tool to overcome one of the most critical stages these firms face: succession. In Spain, family businesses represent 92% of all enterprises and generate approximately 60% of GDP. Despite their economic importance, many fail to transition beyond the second or third generation due to inadequate succession planning. The research is based on a literature review, expert consultation in the field of family businesses, and the analysis of two real-life case studies. One case involves a company without a family protocol, which ultimately fails in the third generation. The other describes a business that, after internal tensions between the founder and his two heirs during the first generational transition, decided to implement a family protocol to reach a consensus and ensure the firm’s continuity. The findings indicate that the family protocol not only defines roles for family members within the business, but also helps to prevent conflicts and promote professional management. It is recommended that family protocols be drafted early on, tailored to the unique context of each company, and developed with the assistance of independent professionals. The family protocol is not a mere document; it is a strategic guide that supports the preservation of the business’s essence and long-term continuity. It is a flexible instrument that can determine whether a family project endures or disappears.

Summary
This Bachelor´s Thesis analyzes the economic impact of the public policy Kit Digital in Spain through the application of a static Leontief Input-Output model. The Kit Digital, financed with European NextGenerationEU funds, is aimed at promoting the digitalization of SMEs and self-employed workers through direct subsidies. The methodology used -a static input-output model- allows for the quantification of the direct and indirect effects resulting from this public intervention. The study estimates the multiplier impact of the Kit Digital investment on the economy, evaluating how each euro invested is trasmitted throughout the production chain in terms of output and added value. The results provide an integrated view of the scope of this policy, highlighting the importance of the ICT sector as the main recipient of the funds and anticipating a positive effect on the broader economic fabric.

Summary
Generation Z, comprising those born between 1997 and 2010, has grown up completely immersed in social networks, which raises questions about their impact on the mental health of this group. This Final Degree Thesis explores how the habits of use of digital platforms affect psychoemotional variables such as anxiety, self-regulation and subjective well-being. The present analysis aims to determine the relationship between the intensity and patterns of social network use and the mental health status of Generation Z youth and to identify protective and preventive factors and positive uses that can mitigate adverse effects. A methodology based on a literature review in databases such as Google Scholar, articles and research papers has been developed. On the other hand, an online survey was designed with 43 questions, most of them Likert scale questions and a minority of open response questions spread over five days using Google Forms. The final sample included 186 respondents aged 18-30 years, selected by convenience sampling. The analysis combines descriptive statistics and Spearman and Pearson correlations using IBM SPSS Statistics to explore associations between key variables. The findings reaffirm the hypothesis that heavy use of social networks can negatively affect the mental health of Generation Z, but also demonstrate that quality content and healthy habits can have a positive impact on the mental health of Generation Z, and that the use of social networks can have a negative impact on their health.

Summary
This paper examines the macroeconomic determinants of mergers and acquisitions in the United States and the United Kingdom through the application of Vector Error Correction Models (VECM). Using quarterly data from 1988 to 2023, it analyses both short-term dynamics and long-term equilibrium relationships. The empirical results reveal distinct national patterns: in the short run, mergers and acquisitions activity is driven by its own lags and stock market behaviour, with stronger explanatory power in the United States; in the long run, the cointegration analysis shows significant relationships between the number of mergers and acquisitions deals and macroeconomic indicators such as unemployment, inflation, and equity indices. Notably, interest rates (especially 3-month treasury bond yields) pose challenges to classical assumptions. The study contrasts neoclassical and behavioural finance perspectives and provides a robust econometric framework for evaluating the structural determinants of mergers and acquisitions in both economies.

Summary
The aim of this thesis is to study the differences between two of the main corporate forms in Spanish commercial law: the Public Limited Company and the Limited Liability Company. Both form part of the group of capital companies regulated by Royal Legislative Decree 1/2010 of 2 July. Through a comparative analysis and a review of both the doctrine and the current regulations, we will analyse some factors such as the minimum capital required, the transfer of holdings or shares or the administrative bodies. In addition, an analysis will be made of the advantages and disadvantages of both legal forms. The work consists of 10.880 words, except for the indexes, summary and bibliography.
Summary
This undergraduate thesis examines the taxation of digital content creators in Spain, a group that generates significant income through digital platforms such as YouTube and Instagram. A conceptual framework is first introduced, defining a content creator as a person who produces and shares materials on platforms with the aim of generating income, either directly or indirectly. The analysis begins with the emergence of this new figure in society and their subsequent recognition as entrepreneurs, before examining their taxation either as individuals (under the Personal Income Tax, IRPF) or as companies (under the Corporate Income Tax). It is important to understand how income is classified under each tax regime, as this will determine the tax burden and the applicable rates. Corporate taxation may be more advantageous for creators with a high volume of income, but to access this, it must be demonstrated that a real business structure exists. IRPF taxation, on the other hand, follows a progressive scale: the more you earn, the higher the percentage paid. As a result, several tax-related conflicts arise for content creators. One of the most notable is the issue of tax residency and relocation to countries with lower taxation, such as Andorra, where the maximum personal income tax rate is 10%, compared to 47% in Spain. The Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT) has established a set of key criteria to determine whether an individual is still considered a tax resident in Spain. Another major conflict concerns the deduction of expenses, which can be challenged if it is not clearly proven that they are exclusively related to the professional activity.

Summary
This report presents the design of a business plan for the creation of BIVS Gestion S.L., a limited liability company dedicated to offering various administrative management services (tax, labour, accounting, and legal), as well as market research and the development of business plans. The project arises from the identification of the need for technical and theoretical support regarding administrative obligations among SMEs and self-employed professionals. The business will be in Sarria (Lugo), where the supply of some of these services is currently non-existent. The work includes an analysis of the municipality’s economic and social environment using tools such as the PESTEL model and Porter’s Five Forces analysis, which help to understand the behaviour of the local market. A SWOT analysis is also carried out to identify the strengths and weaknesses that the project will face during its initial phase. Regarding the marketing plan, different strategies are designed to achieve the established objectives. Likewise, a human resources plan and an organizational plan are developed to ensure an efficient structure. From an economic perspective, the main operational forecasts are presented, highlighting an expected annual demand of 525 sales distributed across four business lines. These figures are considered achievable based on a prior analysis of the local business network. In conclusion, BIVS Gestion S.L. represents a viable proposal, consistent with its environment and with the potential to establish itself as a leading management firm in the region. This report has a length of 10.248 words.

Summary
In this paper we will analyze the evolution of the economic value of the different species marketed in Galician fish markets from 2001 to 2024, through different statistical indices of price, volume and value. The main objective is to be able to decompose the variations in total value to determine the impact of changes in prices and sales volumes, using methodologies such as the Laspeyres, Paasche and chained indices. Five representative and well-known species (cod, sea bream, razor clam, octopus and sardine) have been selected to apply the methodology, which will later be exported to the 336 species in the available data. From the composite and chained indices, a more accurate and real representation of the inter-annual evolution will be obtained. Through the results, different stages of the fishing sector in Galicia in the period studied are identified and explained. The aim is to provide a particularly useful methodology for decision-making and planning in sectors with great variability, such as the fishing sector. The work consists of a total of 7131 words.

Summary
The quality of employment is a subject of debate among many authors, and even today, no consensus has been reached regarding a clear definition of employment quality or the factors that should be considered when analyzing if a job is of good quality or not. Several dimensions and possible definitions of the concept have been proposed. In this study, a definition is developed based on the literature reviewed from some authors. Additionally, four dimensions of employment quality proposed by Serrano, Soler, and Pascual (2003) are taken into account in order to conduct a descriptive graphical analysis and to construct a synthetic indicator of employment quality. Four variables are selected, and their data are analyzed for each of the Spanish Autonomous Communities across three different years: 2008, 2020, and 2023. These years were chosen as they correspond to the Spanish Great Recession, the COVID-19 period, and the most recent data available. The main objective of this study is to construct an indicator to assess whether salary (one of the selected variables, and the only one that can be considered as positive) has a direct relationship with the results obtained from aggregating the other three variables, in order to establish a hierarchical ranking of the Autonomous Communities based on employment quality. The completed study consists of a total of 9,058 words, in which the aforementioned aspects are developed in detail.
